will be facing a Redshirt Freshman week 1 and a true freshman Week's 3 and 4.

I like our odds. 4-0 at Septembers end. Book it

You forgot the rest of the talent around those QBs

And then the usual 8-4/9-3 at season end, with a long list of what ifs and if onlys.

I agree, it worked out well for you last year facing RS Freshman.

Better hope they're not using any PEDs.

All of the digs on A&M and LSU have been about QBs. At least this guy is consistent. Bama will be starting a kid who most of the schools in the state didn't even chase.

It leaked out this summer that Saban has actually lost the Ole Miss game intentionally the last two years to bring his team together and get them focused. When we lose to Ole Miss we never fall far in the polls because the voters look at it as a fluke or they assume OM spent all summer preparing for this one game and that theory is proven true when OM loses to a far inferior opponent later in the year and Alabama goes up in the polls. He uses the OM game to get his team in the right frame of mind to win out and make the playoffs. Saban is the master and knows how important the psychological aspect of the game is. We may lose the Ole Miss game but they will be watching the Tide play in December and January like always!

Roll Tide!

According to Taylor Hamm of 247Sports.com, Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin had a previously unreported in-home visit with Alabama quarterback commit Jalen Hurts from Channelview, Texas.

Sumlin visited, but only after having his QBs transfer. They wanted to take one QB in the class and he was one of the better uncommitted prospects left.

(a) he wasn't uncommitted, he was committed to Alabama

(b) Your original point was nobody in state wanted him. Clearly they did.

Most schools didn't "chase" McElroy and Coker either. And yes, I realize both were upperclassmen when they started.

So what you're saying here is that Alabama's QB is a bum? Awesome.
But Ole Miss isn't going to be undefeated even going into week two. Sorry.
