SC did just fine slowing down Gurley last year (131 yards on 20 carries) with lesser d-line talent.
In what world is giving up 130 yards and a td slowing a RB down?

Are you not concerned about your game vs. Oklahoma? Or is that an automatic win as well? I would be more concerned about the Sooners if I were you.
Just wondering.. you seem obsessed with an SC team that your team is WEEKS away from playing..

This.
Hood isn't some 2 star chump, he can obviously play.

He's the only one starting SC threads this morning?

Most SC fans were expecting UGA to run for about 500 yards on our defense last year..

Except USC didn't have their "heavies" in vs UNC. They had their lighter, quicker DT's in because UNC is a spread team and sideline to sideline speed is important....

Uga will run fast pace like unc did, but hopefully we won't blow in the red zone again, and you are shorting gurley an extra carry td for 54 yards, but it's not your fault.

Considering he had just averaged over 13 ypc and 200 yds against Clemson the week before, I'd say we did slow him down.

Also, why did Spurrier go for it on 4th and 1 at the 10 yard line? It didn't turn out to hurt them but it could have cost them the game. People want to give Butch hell for gameday coaching but Spurrier's gameday coaching the last several years has been erratic.
he had a defense that was shutting out UNC in the second half and honestly a TD there would have likely iced the game
it showed trust that the defense could make another stop with 90 yards to work with which almost didn't pan out but it was a good decision i feel
just not the greatest play call

But they didn't give him the ball on the 2 yard line
Fedora's playcalling last night was absolutely horrendous. He kept calling pass plays despite the fact that USC was getting consistent pressure and rattling his QB, and Hood was destroying USC on the ground. When your QB throws two endzone picks because the pressure is causing him to make bad throws, that's on the head coach, especially when your ground game is working wonders.
These pass-happy coaches are all the same -- when you get them into crunch time in a tight game and their teams are in need of smart situational playcalling, they fold like an old newspaper.

It's embarrassing Fedora still has a job. Hood is the best back in the nation no one talks about cause of the shite for brains coach he plays for.
South Carolina's defense still blows and their QB play is embarrassing. How does a coaching staff so clearly fail to capitalize on recruiting momentum with guys like Clowney, Lattimore, and Jeffreys in the house? Outside of Cooper (stud), everyone on that team is eh at best. How UNC didn't win that game by double digits is beyond me.

It was his lowest output of last year minus the Troy game where he got limited snaps (only 6)...
Clemson 15 att 198 yards 13.2 avg 51 Long 3 TD's
SC 20 att 131 yards 6.6 avg 40 long 1 TD
Troy 6 att 73 yards 12.2 avg 48 long 0 TD
Tennessee 28 att 208 yards 7.4 avg 51 long 2 TD
Vandy 25 att 163 yards 6.5 avg 26 long 2 TD
Translation: Gurley is/was a beast.

If we can beat Gurley + Chubb on the same team with that defense last season, we can handle these guys individually.
Kinda true, Chubb was used sparingly for whatever reason
