Let me put it in perspective how difficult it is for a program to have a .900+ winning percentage over a nine year span.
The last Division 1-A team to accomplish that feat was Oklahoma from 1971-1979. The dynasty Canes teams from the '80s and early '90s fell short. The closest they came was when they had a .898 winning percentage from 1985-1993 and 1986-1994. Florida State under Bobby Bowden also fell short. They had a .896 winning percentage from 1991-1999 and 1992-2000. Everybody knows about dominant Nebraska was under Osborne in the '90s. The best winning percentage they have over a nine year span was .895 from 1993-2001. There were also the Chris Petersen Boise State teams. Remember how dominant they were against their competition? The highest winning percentage Boise State had over a nine year span was from 2002-2010 and 2003-2011 when they had a .898 winning percentage.
So how rare is it for a team to have a .900+ winning percentage over a nine season span? 1971-1979 Oklahoma was the last time it happened. Before that, you have to go back to the Oklahoma teams under Bud Wilkinson. They did it from 1947-1955, 1948-1956, 1949-1957 and 1950-1958. And before that, you have to go all the way back to Notre Dame under Knute Rockne. They had a .900+ winning percentage from 1916-1924 and 1919-1927.
Yes, that's how rare it is to have a .900+ winning percentage over a nine year span. It's only happened once over the last 58 years and seven times over the last 100 yeas. If Alabama goes 15-0 this year, it really should end the debate of the greatest college football dynasty and greatest college football coach of all-time.

Thanks for shitting all over LSU's day. They just came back out of hiding and you're gonna make them logoff for the night.

I'm assuming you're leaving it at 100 years to leave out Fielding Yost at Michigan? 1901-1908 69-5-2 during that time.
Fielding Yost from Fairview, West Virginia less than 12 miles from Nick's hometown in Fairmont, West Virginia.

Lol. Take off the tin foil hat. 100 is a pretty nice round number.

It ain't shitting on my day at all baw, it's the truth. I'll acknowledge the fact that this has been a decade of Bama dominance, but I'll always hate you dirty fricking gumps.

I knew this would happen the very second that Bama hired Saban way back in 2007. Few thought he'd dominate like this, but, I totally expected it.

You shouldn't; we're not rivals.

Absolute domination with the GOAT college coach.
I knew this would happen.

I'll be "that guy" and point out that at least half of our losses since 08 could easily be qualified as times we beat ourselves, through horrible FG kicking or turnovers.
We should be closer to .950
We should be closer to .950
