I mean seriously, Chris Relf as our QB won 9 games that year?

ETA: Realized this was highlights vs Ole Miss over several seasons, not one year. But he did have a 9 game winning season when we beat Michigan.

Dak Prescott was 31-42 (74%) for 254 yds with 2 TDs and 1 INT in the egg bowl last year... Also rushed for 63 yards. Wouldn't really say that is "poor" qb play.
ETA: Kelly was 21-30 (70%) for 234 yds against a bunch of 2nd and third string db's FWIW.

We also basically had an Nfl defense that year. Fletcher Cox, Kj Wright, Chris White, Cam Lawrence, McPhee, Boyd, Banks, Skinner and Mitchell have all spent time on NFL rosters that played on that team.

You don't think we had some back ups in while you scored a couple garbage time touchdowns after we were up 38-13? He went 10-12 for 95 yards and his 2 TD's in that time. His 29.3 qbr was stellar. His 3.0 yards per carry was as well.
It was all 2nd and 3rd string DB's for State as well. Lulz
Kelly's 74 yards rushing with 6.7 ypc should be discounted too since I'm sure your whole defense was the 1b/1c defense.
Anyways, I don't really think he said Dak's play was "poor".

Rebel fan. Last year was the worst OL under Mullen. Dak was forced to throw more because our OL was terrible and we had no running game. Any defense knew what we were going to do but go ahead and enjoy it.

31 completions for only 250 yards isn't really that good.
Typically pretty telling that he was just making dink and dunk passes while our secondary played in prevent.

I remember msu fans arguing with me this time last year saying yalls OL would be just fine because you basically had a 1a and 1b offensive line from the year before.

You rebel fans always post things without facts. Our OL had lost a lot and then got hit with injuries. Secondly , unlike Ole Misd who magically gets kids qualified, we had to send several Juco.
It was just one of those years but naturally you let facts get in the way. We don't pay the Tunsils family of the world and provide his parents with a house. We don't get guys like Michael Orher who EVERY COACH OUT THERE knew there was no way he would qualify.

You talking about facts is hilarious. We are have 2 commits in this class from players that did not qualify for us out of high school and we placed in JUCO and had another player not qualify this year. We have had plenty of recruits not qulify some are coming back and some like DJ Law don't come back to Ole Miss. Saying we just have players qulify when we have players have to go JUCO all the time proves you don't know what you are talking about.
When Davis was thought be a State commit everyone said he could qulify but he went Bama and all State fans then said he couldn't. Stop making excuses for your failures.

State fans acting like they are this super clean program that would never get in trouble and suffer because others breaking the rules just off of probation for recruiting violations and a coach getting a show cause is just hilarious.
