I want the old college football theme songs back

Was just listening to these earlier and I realized how much I missed these. So many great games and memories, and there was nothing like hearing these songs on saturdays in the fall before big games. The new CFP theme song doesn't do it for me at all. We need to start up a petition to bring these back.

That first ESPN clip reminds me of Ron Franklin and the 7:45 Saturday night games of my college years.

I loved the old ABC theme back in the Keith Jackson / Frank Broyles broadcast days. It was the ginchiest

I miss the old ESPN intro. This new one is too NFL-lite. The old one kind of reflected the fun and excitement of waking up early on Saturday morning to make a drive to campus and grill out and watch football all day.

Hank Williams was in NW Arkansas for a concert last week. I don't think he did "are you ready for some football" though.

One isn't something that was used in a theme song but (and this is going to make me sound young), Trapt - Bring It and Daughtry - Crashed bring back a lot of memories for me with college football.
I swear, for at least one season, maybe two (close to or in the 2007 season) Daughtry - Crashed was the first song you'd hear leading into SEC football on CBS. It might have been just Lincoln Financial (or Jefferson Pilot/Raycom, don't remember which) and the two are bleeding into each other for me. It brings back soooooo many memories for me because it was when I really started getting into college football because that season was fun and crazy to watch (I had watched in years before, but 2007 was really when I gained the love for CFB).

2008 Bama-LSU intro was badass...''twas a great game as well. A shame we couldn't have pulled it out, but a game that fit the magnitude of the rivalry.

Hell fricking yes. The '90s ESPN was the best. Pisses me off both networks stupidly changed both to crappier intros. I know not many here watched Big 12 or Pac 10 on Fox Sports Net, but I loved this old intro. I can't stand the lousy intro FS1 uses now.

Why does everything have to do with Ole Miss these days?
