Best OOC teams they have played over the past 5 years have been Utah and Texas. If not for a Colt McCoy injury, they'd be 0-2 with 0 MNCs in that time (if they'd lost to Texas, I fully believe that OSU would have jumped them last year and played LSU instead).

The other OOC teams they have played in that span have been weak ACC and B1G teams. Their SEC schedules have been jokes (this year, last year, 09), and their biggest years have come on a schedule filled with first year hires or subsequent fires. Next year will be another banner year with the easy schedule and glutton of first year hires.

But in the near term, they have to deal with a hellacious defense from an OOC opponent which isn't going down if their star player gets injured this time. Bottom line - look for the same kind of exposure brought to you by Utah.

True, the SEC isn't very good and they are lucky to have to play in such a conference. Baylor wouldve destroyed them last year. Not to mention this years west virginia.

Those BCS games were tougher than the 2011 title game vs LSU. You may be onto something.

I don't know. Colt could've stopped Bama from having TWO 100-yard rushers. He was pretty awesome on defense.

I think you have a misunderstanding of what a "fact" is.

I hate that people bring up Colt McCoy's injury in that game as though Alabama's physicality on defense had nothing to do with the injury.

Alabama beat his a$$ into submission. Texas was a soft football team from a weak, offensive-based Conference.

It was an unequal match-up. ND will find this out again.

If ifs and buts were butts and nuts, you'd have a very merry Christmas, wouldn't you? This pathetic thread starts with some impossible hypotheticals and then delves into even more stupidity.

Terrible flame attempt.

Bama took the pedal off the gas against Texas. That's the ONLY reason Texas was able to get back in the game. Bama was much better than Texas, with Vag McCoy or without him. The National Title game in 2009 was the SECCG between Bama & Florida. Either one of those teams would have wasted whoever awaited.

If Bama's offense struggles, I could see a Utah type game coming.

Shhh... don't tell him about how we played and destroyed the undefeated defending national champs ranked #1 in the country led by Tebow.

That'll kill his "Bama played nobody" theory
