I don't understand why he carries a microphone around at practice. Everything seems too much like a show with him and not enough like a real football practice/camp/game. I can't see Saban or Urban or Spurrier or any proven championship caliber level head coach running around with a microphone in hand during practices. It may help with recruiting, but it is part of the reason, I think, that he is so unsuccessful against ranked teams.

It's definitely the Microphone. It can't be the fact he inherited a dumpster fire

Tennessee reminds me of Nebraska but with more cheating and less 1990s-era success.

Hopefully some day a 100% winning percentage against Tennessee will be meaningful

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. Best they do this year is 6-6.

Yeah, completely agree. Ceiling for the Vols this season is 6 wins. Nothing would suggest they can do any better than that.

You realize you're not the only team to have gone 3-0 on us in the past 3 years right? We've sucked and you've beaten us, but don't act like it's anything special

Yes, Tennessee really sucked in the 1990s.

Has Mizzou ever had any major success...EVER?

Nope!

I just don't see him as a guy that is going to command much respect from his players. Dancing around, chest bumping, being "cool"

I assume you're an adult though. To an 19 year old kid...I'm sure they look at him differently than you or I would.

If you want to play the "ever" card, sure... Mizzou has only one less conference championship than Tennessee.

Sad when you must go back to the 90s to be good.

I really don't see any problem with what he does. Every other coach does it. Hugh Freeze comes to mind. Les as well. If it brings in the top recruits then it is mission accomplished.

People seem to forget how much of a dumpster fire that program was when he got there. It was an awful situation courtesy of the abomination of a coach in Dooley. I'd say now they're finally in position to compete. The talent is obviously there now. It's almost getting to the point that Butch will have to monumentally frick up in order to be unsuccessful.

We don't have to go back that far for Bammer's 3 win seasons.
