Anyone who didn't think Washington gets in is an idiot. I'm not saying I think they are a top 4 team. But the Pac is still a very powerful conference. It's not the big 12. There's no way they get jumped by two big ten schools. Most likely Wisconsin gets fricked. Penn State is definitely getting fricked if they win tonight.

As far as conference power is concerned it goes

Sec/big ten/Pac

Acc

Big 12

Clemson going to the title and being competitive is the only reason they aren't in the conversation of getting screwed.

All the "polls" said Hillary would win. Same thing here. It's all "politics."

They were in the top 4, they blew out their opponent in the conf champ game.

Why woukd they fall?

Michigan beat PSU and Wisky,
head to head matters as much, if not more than the championship winner in this case.
I think the committee will consider Michigan as being the better team of the three and will select them.
Of course none of this will happen because Clemson will beat the shoes off Va. Tech.

Whether or not Michigan is better or the fact that they won the head to head, I'd find it hard to believe that they would put Ohio State and Michigan in the Final 4 and leave out the Big 10 Conference Champ. 2 from the same conference and neither even played for the championship? That'll be interesting.

To me it's obvious. Just look at the which conferences are the power brokers. If the Bama/LSU national title never happened, and the string of SEC titles never happened, neither would the playoffs. The old school powers hated it.

It's the same reason the Rose Bowl became exclusively big ten/Pac. They wanted to consolidate power. But the population moved south and the sec gained power. The playoffs were created to continue to keep them in the title hunt.

PAC 12 as well as the Big 12 haven't done crap since the "playoffs" were formed.

i think to make playoffs, a team should have to be in their conference championionship game at a minimum.

the division Ohio State is in isn't that good if 3 different teams in it only had 1 loss in conference. lol

I see your reasoning.

But I believe , as they have always said, they do not put conf champs in their comparisons, until there are champions.

I really see no way Michigan gets in.
They just do not deserv it. They went in the road twice against decent competition and loss. The win over PSU, was in September. That really factors when looking at today.

If and it's a big If, we end up with Bama- Mich and tOSU and UDub; we will have 8 teams by 2018. I just don't think they'll do it.

What has the ACC done , one title game and a loss, Pac12, one title game and a loss, SEC, one title game a a win, BIG10 one game and a win. Kinda hard to say that when it's been 2 years.

Hell they would beat all except Bama.
The SEC is so weak this year.

Bumping in anticipation of proving the haters wrong. It's either Penn St or Mich in the 4 slot

i think it will be

Bama
Clemson
Ohio State
Penn State

washington OOC schedule doesn't help them and Colorado's starting qb got hurt in that game and likely why it was a blowout.

the commiteee really wants to include OSU but it knows that it will look bad if they pass over Penn State to do so , so their only solution is take both of them and drop Washington. i think thre is also the perception that USC is actually best team in the Pac 10 after making the qb change, given they beat both colorado and washington.
