Was it close because Auburn played poorly or did Spurrier and the cocks play over their head? Thanks.

He went for it every 4th

Pulled out all tricks

Got onside

Threw everything at us but our D is terrible

Our d-line got no pressure and our secondary played bad. Spurrier also went for every fourth down like he was playing xbox and converted almost all of them. Our offense rolled though.

Maybe the gutsiest craziest maestro job of coaching I've ever seen. Spurrier took a team with no defense and gutted it out to the very end and almost pulled it off. The whole thing was just brave. auburn had the better players, but USC had the better coach.

They definately played over their heads, Spurrier emptied the playbook on us. But we didn't help our cause at all with our pitiful defense.

Actually, most Gamecock fans feel that we played below our ability and that you Aubie fricks were lucky to pull it out .... and only did because you were at home.

Your D is shitty and your your DC is shitty - he still can't stop the pass after all these years. What did Thompson have through the air last night? 500 yds or so?

If our D was half the D we've had for the past decade, that game would not have even been close. We would have romped y'all by four scores or more. But hey, you got us at home during a transition rebuilding year on D and you wanna talk shite ...

Meh.

It was actually an incredibly fun game to watch - a shootout with a lot of back and forth ties, etc.

SCAR is still very young on D - we've got a lot of growing-up and reloading to do over there.

Auburn is overrated though - they are not a Top 5 team.

I don't know if South Carolina will ever beat Auburn while in the SEC.

If they couldn't get it done at home in 2011 then when?

AUs offense played great. AUs defense did not. Spurrier was on his game calling plays and had nothing to lose so he went for it on 4th almost every time and converted almost every time.

Really man? USCe was lights out on O and in the play calling. BTW, if you want to talk about ifs, AU's D hasn't been that bad this entire season. If AU plays as well as they have before on D, USCe gets ran out of the stadium in a 40+ blowout.

Maybe you needed the defense from the 1933 team. Was that your freshman or sophomore year at USCe?

So funny to watch Auburn fans defend their performance in this game.

All of it is a result of spurrier play calling. No other reason for Auburns inability to stop USC on 4th/throw for 500.

Definately not the defenses fault.

Kind of how bama fans defended beating an SEC team, by one point, that hasn't won an SEC game in two years?

If you think Spurrier didn't have a hand in that, you're just being an idiot.
