Saturday's game - the announcers made no mistakes ... they took the fun out of having to correct verne. I know it was miserable at times, but I do miss him - he had a way of saying "WOW!"

I didn't really notice.

I watch the game, not really pay attention to the announcers.

The only announcer that really grates me is Gus Johnson.

He also had a way of constantly dick-riding Bama during the games he called.

It was getting pretty bad , he had turned into a yes man for Gary . If he did try to take the lead on a call he would either mess it up somehow or would be to slow and freeze and could only think of one thing ...WOW

I would rather have a guy that is fair and unbiased (as much as possible) in Brad Nessler. It may take Gary Danielson back off of the ledge of doing what he does with being biased with teams when games are close.

Gary was doing God's work covering for Vern. It had to be tough.

Still miss the good Vern

He was something special for most of his career and, I honestly hope he's happily fishing with grandchildren putting bait on his hook while they sneak sips of the bourbon he forgot about.
