How can you not?

I went to the regional tonight. So many people. Seeing little kids walking around in "Eibner" t-shirts.

College baseball is great, and the newbs who don't get it are missing something really cool.

Eibner shirts? Awesome. His bombs a few years ago are what I think of with regard to Razorback baseball.

Agreed. The others are just missing out. I won't name any schools though.

You and me both.

I'm addicted to it. Even when we aren't playing I can still watch game after game - especially SECW teams. Amazing fans. Amazing venues. Maybe the last great, pure team sport.

FTR, I'll be surprised if Arky doesn't make a strong run. Ferocious lineup and enough pitching I think.

Me too. But the last few years of Alabama baseball has me sad. Hopefully Brad Bohannon changes it. Quickly.

This is spot on. No big money, a lot less corporate. A lot less interruptions and booster-related crap like you have at even college football games these days.

Laid back, the players mostly seem like good kids you'd want your own kids to emulate.

It's just a great thing all around.

I was at your Regional too. Highlight of the day was watching Eierman's (MSU) 2-run homer quiet the Ok. State fans.

2 outs and they were up and ready to celebrate a victory. Instead, they just turned and walked out of Baum.

More than likely because they were a free giveaway a few weeks ago

What makes them any better than most of the athletes in other sports?

mostly, they aren't. but to be brutally honest there are few ghetto kids in college sports outside of basketball and football. i'm not being a racist, facts are facts. I actually think the college experience is one of the greatest things ever for ghetto kids (no matter the race as there are plenty of white and Hispanic kids raised in the same type of environment). some make it and some don't; that's the way life works.

I'm not calling anyone racist. Football players commit more crimes than other college athletes, but it's only about 5% of college football players. A lot of those are drug crimes, and you're lying to yourself if you don't think some college baseball players are taking drugs.

The vast majority of players in basketball and football are good people. Baseball players are probably more intelligent, but I don't think intelligence should play a factor in picking a role model. I've never been a fan of role models or wanting kids to emulate other people anyways.

In 2016, according to the the Fulmer Cup standings 116 out of over 20000 D1 football players committed crimes. That's less than 1%. Significantly lower than the national average.

You're getting caught up in headlines and not doing the math.

I think most of the noobs railing against college baseball, especially SEC baseball, do so either out of jealousy or out of ignorance ... they are anti-American types, Kathy Griffin lovers, those kind of people.
