Even the Aubies I have sent it to think it is funny. I get that the show makes fun of Southerners. The thing is I know people who act a lot like they do and I just can't deny the humor.

A lot of the guys at Cartoon Network are from the south, so I don't mind them poking some fun. If you watch some of the older Adult Swim shows (especially Space Ghost Coast to Coast, which really kickstarted the whole thing) you'll see that there are all kinds of little in-jokes to fellow Southerners.
