Mizzou/Tennessee is a better rivalry. 3-2 all time record, and neither team has won the national title since 2000

TAMU/LSU. 5-0 record. 2-0 lead in titles since 2000. Hard to compare

Aggies are solid, but let's not get carried away here

It's gonna be more fun when we hire Frank Wilson as our next coach

We have a past history of playing LSU and it is a good series.

Of course LSU probably has more antipathy toward Alabama.

We have more history with Arkansas but the stupid neutral site game sucks the atmosphere out.

Based on what everyone has been saying, we can't have a rivalry with Alabama because they beat us like 10 times in a row or something. We're getting to the point where when it does happen, it'll be rush the field worthy.

I looked up the link from this post (wiki), and it made for interesting reading.

Cool stuff:

LSU leads the series 32-20-3

LSU and A&M were actually in the same conference from 1906-1914 (SIAA)

They played annually from 1960–75, always in Baton Rouge, since A&M could receive a larger gate by playing at Tiger Stadium, which at the time had a much larger seating capacity than Kyle Field. This was the longest consecutive games played between the two teams in the series history. LSU went 12–3–1.

20% of A&M's all-time wins against LSU happened under Curley Hallman's watch a former Aggie. Hmmmm.

A&M will actually have to win a game once in a while for it to become a rivalry. Right now A&M is LSU's bitch.

There's no rivalry. LSU wins every year. Can't have a rivalry if one team wins it all the time.

Would be a bad move for A&M, especially while LSU has Orgeron. A&M would only get from Louisiana what O would allow.

I agree. Not much of a rivalry when one team owns the other historically and is on a 6 game winning streak.

Definitely potential for a great rivalry. I agree that A&M has to step and win their share though.

I know. We used to say that in the 90's until you guy's cancelled the series.

Texas has beaten LSU more recently than aggy, and that was 14 years ago. And we're not even in the same conference.

That's sad, folks!

Good to see LSU fans have accepted that Alabama is not their rival then.
