The Gamecocks do have the 11th best defense in the nation. (We won't discuss our offense.)
And I have been taught by some good coaches how to watch a game.
And A&M could conceivably ruin Bama's season. They are a very good football team.

South Carolina is the only team in the SEC with a winning streak against Alabama.

I think what he may be trying to say is that most of us watched our game vs A&M a couple of times ... and most of us watched Bama dismantle the Vols this past weekend because it was our off week and .... there are some things A&M does very well that might cause problems for Bama if Bama lets their guard down.
A&M is a very solid, well balanced, football team this season.
It should be an interesting matchup.

No, but I have have read every book about Coach Bryant that I can find.
Without server help, who was Johnny Mack Brown?

Johnny Mack Brown was a Halfback at Bama during the 1920s then went on to be a pretty famous actor in Hollywood

What about Dixie Howell? Pooley Hubert?

Dixie Howell was a Bama halfback. Hubert was a qb. Hubert played with Johnny Mack Brown.

And what about Pat Trammel, the most unappreciated great player in Bama history. But I remember him.
I was far from home, very young, and he was whipping the hell out of Yankee arse.

Pat Trammel was Coach Bryant's favorite player. He was a tough SOB

He was mine too.

I read somewhere, that Trammel was the only player that would get pissed off and stand up to Bryant. I guess Bryant respected him because of it

I remember those days well.
Hell, we had a party line at our house until my junior year in HS. Two longs, one short.

I'm 40 and my grandmother had two of those phones. It was actually a simpler time. Every night before bed, my grandparents would call some number to get the time so they could set the alarm clock
