"I know he's a good General. But is he lucky?" (Butch Jones related)

This quote is often credited to Napoleon Bonaparte but similar sentiments can be traced back to the ancient Greeks. When choosing a leader for their army, rulers like Napoleon wouldn't just look at the General's record, credentials, leadership qualities, etc. They often asked the question - "is he Lucky?" What they meant was, does he have a history of good fortune? When faced with complex, life or death situations, do the Gods favor him? Back then the concept of "luck" didn't just mean winning a lottery ticket - it meant - Does good fortune follow him in what are almost always very complex, flip-of-the coin situations. Does he, in other words, have what would today be called the "IT FACTOR."
Football is a complex sport where fortunes can be decided by one or two plays. Heck, Les Miles practically built his early career at LSU on luck (remember 13 men on the field for TN?). Jim Mcelwain is clearly showing us that this whole "brick by brick" thing is BS. Either you have it or you dont, and sorry to say vol fans, Butch Jones just doesn't have it. He's just not "lucky" enough. And spare me the "we're losing by smaller margins every year" argument. Football is a game of wins and losses. I bet all the Top 10 teams that lost this past week will take a lucky win any day.
Time to cut your losses and find someone else.

You could have spared the board the lame arse history lesson and just said Butch Jones sucks.
Or you could have just shut the frick up because everyone knows Butch Jones sucks.

One idiot brought up the losing by smaller margins crap. Don't know remember who it was. But I agree. No one is defending jones at this point. Unless he were to win out (which won't happen) he's done
