I don't think so last year. He might have been 3-4 this year without injury

Hard to wash off the stink of fighting with coaches and being a tool no matter how good you are.

Stayed out of trouble? Did he not just rush a high school field and try to fight kids like 3 month ago?

More quarterbacks should throw jump balls then. He has the second best passing and total yards seasons in SEC history.

Lot of people here are underrating his arm and overrating his brain. He is a mental midget. That said, a team will probably take him a chance on him around the 3rd. He has the best physical tools in this draft and honestly I don't think it's close. NFL teams will take a chance.

It helps tremendously that this is the weakest QB class ever.

He beat Dak, so there's that.

7 is correct. something you can't regret and does not cost much to waive.

Yeah, he beat Dak with bought players from a bunch of top recruiting classes. Of course that never enters your mind does it. Prescott had horrid OL while you guys had money bought OL etc. It's the ONLY reason you could stand up to an Alabama.

Kelly has a stronger arm than Shaw, that's pretty obvious. The difference that makes Shaw a better QB is the fact that 1) he's much more accurate than Kelly. OM had huge receivers, every receiver Shaw had at SC other than the half a season with Alshon was like 5'9". 2) he has a much better understanding of the game and a higher work ethic. And 3) maturity goes a long way.

Which is why I think if he is available in the 7th, the Saints would be a good fot for him to sit behind Drew Brees for 3 years learning and if he can't stay out of trouble, so what, he was only a 7th round pick.

Guess you didn't hear about that brawl at a high school football game a few months back

Yeah he's a huge risk but the upside is there and a 5th round pick isn't too scary risk.

He has a lot of natural ability. I agree that his temperament is probably making some teams nervous.

Word on the street is he killed a guy during the fight. No worries though... It got covered up pretty good.

The comparison to Mallett isn't a bad one. Kelley is a better athlete than Mallett, but Mallett has a little stronger arm.

Both are head cases to an extent, but I never saw Mallett on the sideline grinding his jaw like meth head.

Not even on the same hemisphere as mallett arm strength wise. When people say who has the strongest arm in the NFL they only talk about starters. I seriously doubt any one has a strongER arm then he does

When Mallet started a few games for Houston, that SOB would freaking rifle a 5 yard Waggle pass to a trailing RB.

I think Kelly's worth a 5th or 6th round pick at this point.

Kelly's 7th round grade is mostly based off having two major injuries to the same knee and it's pretty ignorant to say otherwise.

He can make any pass that the NFL would need him to make. Saying that he only threw jump balls tells me that you only watch highlights and don't actually understand football. Every WR that had significant playing time was between 6'2"- 6'5". Of course we're gonna throw a lot of jump passes to our tall and talented receivers if they're matched up with a 5'8" db.
