In the SEC where almost every game matters, one game can spell doom for your teams SEC and national championship hopes.

2012-2013 Schedules: Created by SEC office due to addition of 2 new teams in the SEC.

LSU: USCe, Georgia
Bama: Mizzou, Kentucky

Weak scheduling is part of the process.

I'd say the real blame lies with your AD.

If he had half the sense the Mal Moore has, LSU wouldn't have these issues.

So let me ask you, why does LSU put up with inept AD?

You're right. We need an AD with more influence in the SEC office. Know anybody? A Bama grad would probably have LSU's best interests in mind, so I would prefer one of those.

Even if LSU is the best team in the West next year they probably won't win the division. Tough to overcome a schedule like that.

I have no problem with this. If you want to be the best in the country, you have to beat the best. If we cant, then we dont deserve a ship trip. A cupcake schedule proves nothing. I loved last years schedule. We did what we had to do. Well... Except for jan 9th.

As an LSU season tix holder I Freeking hate it when we schedule a Towson or Idaho. You can schedule cupcakes without scheduling teams with no name. It is a much better game to go see if your playing a lower fbs team like Washington this year. I think the sec as a whole should do a better job of this. Just an image thing more than anything. I think in week 11 there was like 5 or 6 sec schools playing community colleges. We all do it because we can but if I was a Bama season tix holder I would be pissed about the games I am paying to watch but all they have to do is win the scheduled games and your back again.

I understand the logic of scheduling the cupcakes - the SEC is so tough, that you need some breaks. It sure makes for boring football though when you know the main thing on game week is to just make it through with no injuries.

As a Bama season ticket holder I can't disagree with you. I've even voiced my displeasure with Coach Moore.

Please show me where, Towson, Idaho and North Texas are vastly superior to Western Kentucky, West Carolina and Florida Atlantic?

Your major OOC isn't even ranked - Washington. Whereas Alabama's major OOC is ranked 19.

The disconnect is the SEC office - LSU plays Florida and a rotator. Alabama plays Tennessee and rotator. ...big deal.

If you don't understand that the league's HC's set up their OOC games, you are one naive puppy. As I understand it, they are generally given a list of teams, by the school's scheduling coordinator, that are willing AND free to play. Then the HC picks the one/s he wants to play. Do you honestly believe that Mr.Demands Full Control Nick Saban does not hand pick his OOC games? My main bitch bout the cupcakes is the price I have to pay. Charge me more to play the SEC games & a decent OCC opponent, but don't charge me the same price as a ticket against bama, Fla, USCe, etc. And fwiw: as sick as bama fans are of LSU fans whining bout league scheduling, we are sick of you using a one time happening, the season long bi before every game a few yrs ago. That happened once. The current issues with SOS inside the league are an ongoing issue every yr.

I made a thread similar to this about a month ago talking about how with the fall of Va Tech and the weak East teams, Bama needed to schedule another big non con game in that open slot. Maybe they will.

:excellent:

Now you just have to acknowledge that there is a pervasive bias in Bama's favor (not a conspiracy, simply human bias) in the SEC's office and we'll accept you into the fold, brother.

Let's be honest though, all Bama fans know that LSU fans are correct in most of their assertions, especially regarding the bridge scheduling. They're just too stubborn to admit it. I wouldn't want to admit my dynasty was built in part on smoke and mirrors either.

I'm really hoping for 2nd in the West 10-2 Sugar Bowl bid next year. I think we drop 2 conference games and I don't see Bama losing more than 1

And somehow this gets turned into an "LSU fans complain" thread.

Yep. Our schedule is quite the joke. Even the VT game is kind of disappointing after the year they had.

I don't have a problem playing the schedule we do, I just wish everyone else in the division played a similar schedule
