I feel sorry for James Franklin

He seemed like a decent guy while at Vandy and jumping to PSU seemed to make sense at the time. However, rather than accept and internalize the horrific actions/culpability of Paterno and others, that school and fan base continues to try to play the victim.
I hope Franklin can find a good exit strategy. Who wants to be in that shithole?

I do not feel sorry for him. He raped Vandy's recruiting class when he left & totally screwed up what had been an up & coming program.

Franklin was a terrible hire for PSU. They can act like a victim all they want but their head coach is a POS for wrecking poor Vandy's recruiting class.

As a Vanderbilt season ticket holder, frick James Franklin. He was actively working against Vanderbilt while still being paid by them the last week or two. I hope all his hopes and dreams burn to ashes and he is left with nothing but regrets and self pity.

Still blows my mind that PSU has a program. They should have burn the stadium to the ground then spreed salt on the ground so nothing ever grows there again.

I don't feel sorry for him either. I never liked him when he was at Vandy. Comparing him to Derek Mason, who has an uplifting personality, it is easy to see what a jerk Franklin is.

Given that Franklin had his own rape scandal at Vanderbilt, I'm not sure why he's a victim here. Just to up the comparison ante, there are some very good reasons to believe Franklin tried to suppress the accusations while making completely skeevy contact with the victim during the initial stages of the scandal.
