A coach of that tenure, recruited everyone there and has been very involved in the Baton Rouge community... Must be like losing a father for most of those teens and twenty year olds.

Players believed in Miles. That will be hard to replace.

Like any of these trashy people give a shite but you're absolutely right. Any program with class would have let him finish the season with his men.

Maybe his players deserve the joy of victory rather than the taste of defeat. They have left the field 5 of their last 9 games absolutely miserable.

I don't know if the change will bring it to them, but Orgeron turned USCs season around when kiffin got the boot.

Also kids being recruited by LSU deserve to know LSU has decided Les will not be the coach here during their college careers.

The kind of mental gymnastics you'd have to go through to say that this decision will let any of these players taste 'the joy of victory' speaks to how pathetic and delusional you lot are at this point. You just told them to frick off after one conference loss in a last second moment to a good program.

All kids being recruited by LSU definitely know what you guys just did. As an alabama fan...LOL good luck.

It is a bit weird, but knowing the kind of person Les Miles was, his coaching philosophy and the program he ran.... if I had a kid (and my alma mater didn't offer or he wasn't interested) I would have gladly given him over to Miles for four years of development if the opportunity was there. I don't know how much he'd win, but he'd most likely be a good man when he graduated.

No mental gymnastics here, mental gymnastics is what you just went through to not realize that maybe the AD thought we have a better chance of winning games without les miles running the ship.

ADs let coaches go at the end of the season when they think a new coach can do better.

They let go of coaches during the season when they think someone on staff can get more wins the remainder of the season. Maybe Alleva thinks this roster as of today is better than .500 under different leadership.

Les had the chance to do that, all he had to do was fire Cam and he would have gotten to the end of the season. Instead Les chose to say frick you and got himself fired as well.

damn he is so salty, for the fan of a program that has like what 4 national titles lately and he chooses to be salty over a game that happened 5 years ago.

I'm sorry I'm not a mental gymnast like you apparently.

What part of Alleva thinks this is better than a .500 roster without les miles is mental gymnastics?

Why do you think Alleva fired miles week 4 with 2017 draft picks all over the field?

It's the part where you think firing the winningest coach in LSU history was so the current roster could taste 'the joy of victory.'

The current team is probably the 6th best team in the west with or without Miles. Period.

The kind of mental gymnastics

The kind that of mental gymnastics that the SECr is going through after proclaiming LSU will always be a middle-of-the-pack program with an unimaginative offense (Can't spell Les Miles without 2 L's! hardy har) but then doing a complete 180 and proclaiming LSU is crazy for canning the head coach that is responsible for that mediocrity?

You are right and everyone else is wrong, gotcha. The players suck and les miles is really still a great coach.
Check the next few drafts and how these players do in the league after few seasons and we'll see.

Hell let's see how Orgeron does.

Did you forget the second chance he was given after last year? Why do people forget this? He was given the ultimatum to change the offense/philosophy which he said he would. Season started nothing changed. I love les miles but he was given a second chance to succeed and perform, with which he didn't.
