You're leaning on a one year sample size because it's, literally, the only argument you have. Even then, the rest of the West was better than the East.

You have no leg to stand on.

Those East wins were against the bottom 3 teams in the West, sans UGA beating a crippled AU (an ugly win too), and UF beating LSS

Those are also the most applicable results to the teams fielded in 2017.

I have that leg to stand on, and then looking at my particular team, Georgia is 4-2 vs. the West in the last three years, including Alabama. Georgia has won 9 out of 11 games against its permanent west opponent. Georgia has beaten 5/7 west teams in their most recent matchup.

Pretty much looks like a round robin of shite football to me.

And those applicable results show that they aren't "roughly" the same. They show the rest of the West is better.

Congrats. None of this makes the East equal to the West during any recent timeframe.

You're trying way too hard and it's kind of sad.

3-5 years ago, the West was way better. No argument from me there.

Right now, nothing about the West is special.

It's still better than the East.

Marginally. The East does have Kentucky and Vanderbilt in it, which will always hold back it's top to bottom depth. Ole Miss is headed that way though, so that looks like it will level out a little.

LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, A&M, and Florida are all in a roughly similar spot. A couple will make a move, a couple will fall. You could throw Arky in with them I guess.

Everyone else is pretty average.

There just aren't any standouts out other than Alabama right now where either division is something to brag about.

Well the West must be a little higher average. 25-11 and all.

Last season was also probably the worst year of QBs for the West from top to bottom. That likely changes significantly this year.

OK. I'm looking at the teams as they are right now.

You could say the same about the East. All but 1 starter returns (UT).

No, you aren't. You're clinging to a one year sample size when there is much more data that would much more accurately reflect the current situation available.

Just let it go.

Why would results from 2-3 years ago more accurately reflect the current situation?

25% of every team's roster turns over year-to-year.

Bama, LSU, and AU are all better than any team from the East. Btw, UGA isn't the best team in the East. I would put UF above them and possibly UT right beside them.

You're asking why more data points would make a more accurate projection?

Solid.

LSU lost to Florida last season
AU lost to UGA last season

Solid.

I'm saying that so many variables have changed since those data points were recorded that they are hardly applicable.
