I will travel to Athens, Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, Knoxville and Baton Rouge, but those trips to Texas and Missouri are ludicrous.

How do you guys get the money to make these trips?

UGA, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida is 5-8 hours away.

College Station and Columbia is 13-15 hours away from the Plains.

Bad decision by the SEC. You guys much be rich.

Probably a good thing. We don't like a bunch of poor arse hicks around anyway. Enjoy what you can afford.

Lol.

I am not seriously seeing us going to Texas very much either though in any regard.

I don't see the point of making that far of a trip.

It's what non-lazy folk like to call...working.

I've been as far as Columbia, SC to watch Arkansas. I've traveled to Orlando for a bowl game. I've been down to Austin for the 2003 arse whipping we handed them.

It's called enjoying life. It's what my father used to tell me...Work hard, Play harder.

Yeah, I've never wanted to go to Missouri for a game either, but I'm going to atm this year. We have family in the Woodlands, so it's an easy one for us.

If you're interested in a trip to scenic Starkville, ms, I'll rent you a room for the night in my trailer. The room should sleep 4 comfortably with 2 on the bunk beds I got at the army surplus store and 2 on the floor. I have a bar stocked with Smirnoff vodka and cans of natural light. I'll even shuttle you and your group to the game in the back of my '86 f150. If you're interested, let me know

You do realize that Texas doesn't exactly have the highest ranking in terms of prestige in our nation right now.

You have "numerous" stereotypes as well. I could easily name a few.

This argument is not about stereotypes, however...it is about distance and money.

Uhhh. You support an Alabama school. You can talk state trash to Mississippi. That's about it.

I understand that.

I saw Auburn play at the Rose Bowl in California against FSU.

That was WORTH the trip.

These two teams are simply nowhere even close to the money right now.

It's MY money, afterall.

I am not wasting it it on these two distant states no matter what the SEC tries to feed me.

The only time I've ever NOT had a bad time in the state of Texas was going down to Jerry's World to watch Arkansas kick the shite out of Kansas State. Every other time I've been into that state, I have become depressed. Place sucks arse. I don't even know where College Station is, but I've seen a few pics of their campus, and the place, predictably, looks like a shithole.

I bet Columbia, Missouri is much, much nicer. I will go there to watch a Hogs game.

Well, you are closer. Good for you.

I don't see why Texas is so great compared to the "real" Southeast.
