A program cannot stand still if they want to compete. A program can grow stale or can even regress. LSU has fallen into that category in the last 3-4 years. A lot of talent being wasted down there and I have never been able to figure out the quarterback recruitment/eval and/or development. Those quarterbacks that are being recruited do not fit into that system. LSU has lost a lot of ground to Bammer in the last 5 years IMO.

You're spot on and actually understand our frustration. It's not that it's championship or bust for LSU fans. It's that we can see that LSU sets records for number of players drafted, and you see how successful they are in the NFL, you realize they aren't being utilized appropriately in college. Plenty other fan bases have said just this over the years, but conveniently have sang a different tune the last few weeks.
Fact of the matter is LSU wants to win games more than the majority of other programs, and the proof is in their willingness to make changes and make the staff the highest paid in football.
Is it too much to ask that if you have the highest paid staff and the most active NFL players that you don't get shut out by Arkansas? I don't think so. It's time for a change.

I agree. I fear that we will be making the same decision with Gus next year. He is going to get one more, but a lackluster year for him and he will be gone IMO.

It's been my question since all this has gone down?
Why stay stagnant?
Cudos to us for not giving a frick what anybody thinks and making the high risk/high reward play.
