The committee has said they want the best 4 teams, not necessarily conference champs.

Ole Miss wins out, goes to Atlanta and beats the East rep, or does the same and loses to a one loss UGA , who would be SEC Champs at that point.

Alabama wins out but cannot go to the SECCG since Ole Miss would have the tiebreaker.

Any way they get in in this case? I know it would depend on others losing but I only see maybe one team being unbeaten at the end.

I agree. Alabama is the best team.

Lot of ball to be played yet. But it is a possible scenario. Could you take an SEC Champ one loss UGA over Alabama?

You just answered your own question. Could that happen? Yes.

Fantastic thread.

Most delusional question ever. They'd give credit for the SEC title. Bama out.

If you take the best 4 no way you can justify taking a 1 loss UGA over a 1 loss Alabama in my opinion.

Scenario 1: Ole Miss
Scenario 2: no SEC team. Bama and UGA both have a late season loss to a mediocre AU team that keeps them out

Your opinion is delusional. They'd give a one loss Georgia credit for the SEC championship. Note TCU and Baylor last year.

Don't worry too much about it. OM is not winning out. You can take that to the bank. We control our own destiny.

Ole Miss will not win out so it's a moot point.

Yeah, one based on mental illness. Probably the advanced stages of syphilis obtained from incest.

It isn't delusional it is a possible scenario. Your only loss is by 28 at home to a team that has the same record as you and you go ahead of them?

Could the SEC get two teams if Ole Miss runs the table and Alabama does the same? Or if you have a 2 loss east team win the SECCG and Bama sits there at one loss?

Alabama has to get there first, but if they do it will get interesting.

Who knows. Everything you just posted is entirely relient on top teams in the other conferences. There would have to be only two undefeated teams, but more realistically one, for two teams from the same conference to get in. Even then. It probably wouldn't happen.

The dominoes would have to fall just right, but as we all know it has happened before.

I'll put it this way. A 1-loss Bama will be in a play-off. They will have navigated the toughest schedule in the country. The committee will love them some Bama.

If they do not it is time to just play non conference creampuffs only.
