I'm surprised by the large number of threads regarding Auburn picking up Stidham. I get it, he's a good QB, but he quit on Baylor when he lost the job to Seth Russell. Question, how exactly is a backup QB from Baylor going to save Gus? Auburn fans are pointing to the sex scandal, but facts paint a different picture:

May 26, 2016 Art Briles is fired

Stidham responds via instagram, "Can’t wait to get back on that grind tomorrow with my brothers. This year is going to be different than the rest in many ways, but either way we will make a statement to everyone. Excited for the opportunity God has presented this team with to overcome adversity and become even closer as a family. Stick with us Baylor nation, we got this."

July 7, 2016 Stidham announces he is transferring.

Baylor Coach Grobe responds, "We talked this morning and he plans to enroll at a junior college and then find another school to play for,” Baylor interim coach Jim Grobe said. “He didn’t want to back up Seth Russell. When you have two good quarterbacks, it’s just hard sometimes for those guys to live together.”

"It's always hard when you have two really talented quarterbacks, because they both want plenty of snaps. Last year, we weren't able to give Jarrett enough snaps, though some injuries affected that," Grobe said. "I don't think he was happy backing up Seth Russell, and so he's decided to move on and try to find a place where he can get more snaps."

Sean White ranked #35 in QB efficiency, Russell ranked #44. Does White beat out Stidham? If so, does Jarrett quit?

Last 2 wins over Dawgs have been with transfer QBs on way to SEC titles. I understand your fear

we were a reasonable quarterback away from two more wins this season. Realistically, it would have taken amazing quarterback play to have competed with Bama for four quarters and when we played A&M, they were on fire and playing really good ball. But honestly, we beat UGA and Clemson pretty handedly with even reasonable quarterback play.

There is a good chance that Stidham gets to Auburn and is able to go through bowl practices and that will be huge for us and him in the race for next season. White is good but injury prone so a full season with a quarterback and a capable backup will be big.

Getting Pettway back for next year will be nearly as big as Sitdham. We are thin at running back now.

Oh yeah, I remember those. Didn't one of those guys get kicked out of UF for stealing, then get paid $180,000 by AU and never attend classes there but played football for one year?

I know you are low level retarded, but surely you don't believe that? Do I need to post all the pictures of him sitting in class, even after he spent a year in the NFL?

We have a QB that transferred from Tech because he didn't want to play behind their starter and it seems to have worked out pretty well for us.

You're surprised by the number of threads, start your own, and then proceed to write a novel few will read.

Brilliant

Do you think Stidham will get a first down against UGA?

Kid must be terrible. As a true freshman, he couldn't even beat out a 22 yo senior. Truly pathetic.

He would've been a true freshman this year? Interesting

Baylor kid doesn't have elite speed, he's a decent passer but the barn requires that speed from the qb. Teams will rush 4 and drop all into coverage. Until another nick Marshall comes along its 8-9 wins.
