WTF man?
The "kid" is almost 20? And he's a five star player? Really?
Wow.

Calvin Ridley knew it was coming...
Ridley is a south Florida native who knew his game last Friday would be his final one in high school. In Florida, once you hit the 19 years and 9 months mark, you are ineligible to compete in high school athletics. The five-star wide receiver prospect caught 7 passes for 186 yards in his final game at Monarch High School, and his final reception was a 40-yarder for a score. A poetic way to end a prep career. Ridley played in three high school games this season.
His next meaningful action will be for Alabama next fall.
Wow.

Is this the kid from Germany?

Don't ruin it. He thinks he has something.

Started school when he was 11...did well academically and was able to skip a couple of grades.

I searched the SEC Rant for Calvin Ridley before I posted this. Both threads that came up were locked. Sorry if this has been discussed and sorry if this site's search function sucks.

Use ITAT's multiple Bama search engines.

Seriously though, it's thought his family came over from Cuba in the 80s and had to work out the system. It's a rumor, at least, but it has some merit and is posted in a few places on the interwebs.

Remember a guy with the last name Dyer, think he played for Auburn, Louisville, Arkansas Baptist College, or Arkansas State - can't remember which one. But, he was like 22 as a senior in HS.

Why shouldn't he be a five star? He's clearly the best WR prospect in the class.

Wait, so you got a couple hits in your search and they were locked, so you figured it was a good idea to start a third one?

Just think of him as JUCO transfer with 5 years to play 4

You can change his star level if you like but he is still going to be the same player when he takes the field for Bama so I could care less either way.

Are you sure? Wikipedia lists his age now at 23.

Florida is very lenient. In Tennessee, a player cannot be 19 before August 1.
