Do yall think any team could sway him to coach at their school? He is basically an Oxford native and grew up an ole miss fan. His salary is over 4 million a year, so it would probably have to be an SEC school that would fork up that much money for him. I don't think would leave but then there is the flashbacks of Tubbs leaving for Auburn.

I'd think Oregon State could make him an offer to be the mascot he couldn't refuse.

Don't mean to sound like a troll, but Ive always heard Freeze was from Oxford (actually Senitobia/Independance) but close. However my question is why didn't Freeze go to Ole Miss after finishing up playing baseball at Northwest MS CC. He went to Southern Miss instead

Dumb thread. Will be filled with other teams saying he would leave for x or y school and money followed by Ole Miss fans saying he is a Mississippi boy at his dream school when nobody knows. Why even bring this up? We've been over it

That is why I used "basically" describing where he is from. Senatobia seems to be pretty close to Oxford but that's for another day

I doubt it. He seems to be doing a great job and making good money and he is in the SEC so why would he leave. He has to compete with MSU for recruits and that could be a possible reason to leave one day but not anytime soon.

They have those for non athletes too. People forget his degree is in math.

As long we he can keep recruits coming, I don't see why he would go. I still question why he is getting such solid recruiting classes at Oxford.

Ole Miss, State, and Southern Miss all have similar scholarships for students ACT/PTK from CC etc. I highly doubt that Ole Miss doesnt have a math department and that Freeze couldnt have gotten the same scholarships there as Southern Miss.
Nice spin though.
If it was he followed an ex gf to Southern Miss it would be more believable.

However, Hugh just isn't angry enough for the 21st century version of the Beavers.
After hiring Wisconsin's coach, we may just rebrand as the Badgers. Whatever the consultants at Nike think is best.
