BATON ROUGE – LSU has sold out of season football tickets for the 12th straight season as 74,350 season tickets have been purchased for the 2015 home schedule,

The 74,350 season tickets sold ties the school record which was set last year when Tiger Stadium was expanded to seat over 100,000.

LSU has sold out of season tickets every year dating back to the 2004 season when 66,232 season tickets were sold the year after the Tigers won the BCS National Championship

We are approaching 45k which would be our highest since 2012, and before that 08

Not sure what they consider "sellout" though.

So they didn't start selling out until after they won a National Championship. Nothing says loyalty like that.

We sold out the fastest we ever have this year. Believe around 44 thousand. First time I've ever held season tickets, pretty damn excited

Tiger Stadium was a construction zone back then. The East Upper Deck was completed in 2005. The old West Upper Deck was torn down and the current one finished in 2006.

Oh heck no. That's all about Priority Points. People spend years getting those high enough to be able to buy suites or club seats.

That's not necessarily true. You spend years gaining points to get the chance at any tickets. Club and Suites are the fast route to premium tickets for the super rich. I spent years donating while in college and after I got out, and just got SEZ season tickets.

But I know people in both suites and clubs, and they get season tickets for those areas. Difference is the TAF tradition fund for those tickets are like $3k/year a seat. My tradition fund is a measly $260/year per seat.

And the East Upper was completed before the beginning of the 2000 season, Sabans first at LSU.

The donation required for 50 yardline seats at the Vaught are crazy high. I was ready to donate like 1,000 or 2 but it was like 10 if I recall correctly

AFAIK, both club and suite tickets are not counted in the season ticket total. Reason is, both club and suites are counted differently in regards to capacity.

Club and suites are always counted at max capacity for every game. While season tickets other than club and suites are counted at the gate.

No one checks to see how many people are actually in club areas or in suites. The flip side of that is those areas probably have higher attendance ratios than non-premium seats.

I stand corrected. I forgot how long the time was between tearing down the old West Upper Deck...

...and the building of the current addition...

due to Katrina...

quote:

The west upper deck was torn down at the end of the 2004 season, and construction began on "The Stadium Club." The new suites contain over 3,200 special amenity seats as a well as a state-of-the-art press box. The "Paul Manasseh Press Box" has been named for and dedicated to the memory of the long-time and popular sports information director. Construction on this addition was scheduled to be completed by the beginning of September 2005, but delayed due to Hurricane Katrina. Construction was completed for the 2006 season, bringing the stadium's capacity to 92,400. A small number of club seats were added before the 2011 season, increasing the capacity to 92,542.

Do Tennessee fans always have to be snarky? Can we not just have a fun conversation about tickets?
