I'd put LSU and UT in the top 10

But we have the most national titles (even without the questionable ones) and most bowl wins (and only USC has more major bowl wins).

The pups lack of accomplishments the past 30 years have them grasping for straws. A program that has forgot what winning anything substantial feels like, so they try and win message board battles, casting aside the battles between the lines on the field where the real battles are won.

Average end of the year rankings is all you can base it on.

You are correct, kind of like y'all are 13 games in a hole against Bama.

Just curious, did I diss Georgia in my OP, or why are you jumping in here? Or are you a Tennessee fan just posing as a Georgia fan?

That is a fair argument. As I said, it really depends on what the person making the poll places more weight on.

For me, I would probably have USC as the #1 all time program. You could also make an argument for Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and even Ohio State as well as Alabama.

I agree with what Dawg said earlier, I would probably have Michigan ranked some place in the 6-10 range all time.

your post was a direct reply to a UGA fan. You mentioned "you" several times. Seems like a logical conclusion would be you were talking to/about georgia, wouldn't you say?

There is no other way to compare the teams overall when there are so many different factors people on here want to pick choose to count. Teams are ranked year to year by how good they are compared to everyone else.

SEC championships definitely are irrelevant when some teams have been in the conference for years and years longer than others.

Fine, throw out arkansas/sc/miz/atm and all 0 of their combined SEC titles.

Now does that make it more fair?

Tryng to claim UGA is in a higher tier historically than AU is grasping at straws, especially considering how successful we've been recently and UGA's track record the last 30 years. But I'm sure it must suck to see us take a former CB and win an SEC Championship with him as our QB, when you guys, pardon my pun, can't sniff anything of the sort.

what's insane is that (this won't happen, I know it won't happen, it's simply a pie in the sky hypothetical) if chubb took us to a heisman/natty this year and AU lost their bowl game, there wouldn't be a single one of those 12 categories they'd lead us in.

The teams with more SEC titles than Auburn, have oddly enough been in the SEC, just as long as Auburn

how is it grasping at straws if that is the consensus opinion? You've still yet to refute this claim at all btw.
