How would you rank the SEC's Football programs Nationally

We rank them internally a lot, but if you widen the scope and look at it from a national perspective, where you rank each program?
I'd go
Top 3 - Alabama
Top 15 - Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, LSU
Top 20 - Auburn
Top 30 - Arkansas, Texas A&M
Top 40 - Ole Miss, Missouri
Top 50 - Vanderbilt
Top 75 - Mississippi State, Kentucky, South Carolina
I'd go
Top 3 - Alabama
Top 15 - Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, LSU
Top 20 - Auburn
Top 30 - Arkansas, Texas A&M
Top 40 - Ole Miss, Missouri
Top 50 - Vanderbilt
Top 75 - Mississippi State, Kentucky, South Carolina

Are you talking this year or all time?
If all time, you know Auburn is a all time top 15 team. Don't be a gump all the time

Looks good to me except I'd drop A&M to top 30 or 40.
Solid edit.

All-time
Auburn is :
Wins - 19th
Win % - 20th
National Titles - T12th
Bowls - 16th
Conference Titles - T6 SEC, so add ND, Ohio St, Michigan, Southern Cal, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, Penn State, etc just off the top of my head and that puts them at least somewhere right at around 15 or lower there too.
Not sure how saying they are between 15-20 makes me a "gump". Seems to be right in line with all of their individual rankings.

Ok? So that makes 2 of 5 metrics that has them between 10-15 and 3 of 5 metrics that has them between 16-20. Again, not sure how that makes me a gump.
The BCS Ranking makes up, what, a 10 year period out of 100+ years?

So what metrics are you counting? Just the ones that have us out of the top 15?

Probably not, probably more like 48th and 54th and 55th. Vanderbilt did have more sustained success than State or Kentucky, but it was during the pre-1950 years.

Yea, I cherry picked random, obscure stat groups like : Wins, Win %, National Championships, Bowl Games and Conference Championships. Had to really work to find a few that screwed Auburn.
Come on man.

How would you "rank" programs all time without using the "rankings". Just a little confusing.

About right, but hopefully after this year we can be considered a top 25 program. That year with John L and the dismantle and rebuild that were the first two years of CBB's tenure set us back in the national eyes a little.
Tennessee is a little high in your list I think. I know it's based on past reputation, but we went to Knoxville last year and handled them pretty well, so...
ETA: Oh, and Ole Miss might be a little low as well. I think they are at least top 25, maybe close to 20. Until the NCAA gets through them at least.

Well, for one, it's clearly subjective. Two, I think finishing 6th 10 years in a row should be less impressive than finishing 1st for 3 years, 5th for 2 and 15th for 5.
Again, all pretty subjective, so my personal thought is Wins and Titles are the most significant items. But everyone is different.

Isn't there an objective way of looking at this with wins and championships? I think LSU is in the top 10 and Bama is number one

The subjective part is how you weight them, I guess
