How would top SEC teams fare vs Baylor/TCU

LSU having to play one of those 2 scares me. Our secondary is not that great. We would rely on our defense keeping lots of pressure on the QBs and stuffing the run. I think our offense could move the ball and burn lots of clock. But it would be very difficult to keep up with them.
Bama has the front 7 to keep pressure on the QB and stuff the run game, but how will the secondary fare? Boykin and Russell won't throw 3 pick sixes straight to your defenders. I think Bama would move the ball vs TCU. Baylor is better up front and might be tough.
Florida DBs are overrated. If they couldn't stop LSU passing attack, they definitely don't stop Baylor or TCU. Not sure that their front 7 could get enough pressure to force those offenses into mistakes.
Nobody else in the SEC even comes close in my opinion.
I think Baylor is clearly the better of those 2 teams. Their running game is very solid. Being able to run the ball out efficiently of 4 wide sets then torch you at will through the air stretches defenders so wide that it's nigh impossible to defend. They also have a solid front on the defense. I think they are a nightmare matchup for most any SEC team.

Bama, LSU, or FL would maul either one.

I think LSU and Florida would do the best against them. Fournette would have a field day against them. It would probably come down to timely turnovers.

As good as anyone else's if not better?

Bama, UF, LSU and A&M would beat TCU.
Bama and LSU would beat Baylor.

I think Baylor is the legit #2 team in the country and wouldn't favor any sec team at better than a coinflip. Florida's defense matches up better with passing teams than running teams so I would think we match up a bit better but Baylor runs well too so it's not by a lot. I would also have serious doubts ts over our ability to keep up offensively.

If you watch any of those games, you'll see just how no defense that league is.
I've never seen so many wide open receivers. Like no one in 10 yards open. I'm sure their front 7's are just as bad.

If I had LSU's OL and backs, or Bama's, I would run every play and instruct my running backs to fall down after gaining five yards. Baylor and TCU will not stop either team on the ground, ever. Chew up the clock, take 10 minutes to score. All the defense has to do is stop Baylor or TCU one time.

Yea, Baylor has played nobody ranked but still putting up 60-70 every single week isn't bad. We will learn more about them when they play OU and TCU.
TCU is straight offense. No defense. I wouldn't be worried about LSU playing them.

If I was Nick, I'd have that state trooper on the sideline hold his pistol to Kiffin's head, "Lane, we're not going to abandon the run again, now are we?".

I'd even add Tennessee to that list.

A&M would rape Baylor, I'm positive. They are our little bitch

And when was Baylor ever close to this good?

This guy gets it.
I've seen more missed tackles in one or two of their games than a good SEC defense would miss all year.

I remember Ole Miss saying something similar to this last year. Then they proceeded to get rolled.
I understand that all 3 of these teams in question are light years better than Ole Miss was, is, or ever will be.....but at some point we gotta take off the SEC shaded glasses.
All 3 of our defense have looked very bad against the pass at some point, and these teams can legitimately throw the ball and Baylor as a very good run game too so our D couldn't just sell out.

We'll find out at the end of the year.

If we use an LSU analysis, TAMU beats both teams handily. After all, TAMU won 23 of the last 25 matchups with Baylor and 24 of the last 25 games with TCU.
Conducting an ACTUAL analysis, TAMU beats TCU by two TDs in a shootout and Baylor beats TAMU in a close game.

These the type of ACTUAL analysis that I saw last week calling for A&M passing game to be too much for Bama secondary?

As much as I hate Baylor they might be the best team in the country right now. Their offense is an absolute machine I doubt many teams could keep up even if their defense is not good
