If you were a scholarship player on Ole Miss, would you be pissed and play your arse off, or be looking for a way out?

It will be tough for these kids. If Matt Luke gets this team to play, it will be a miracle.

In 2012 after Petrino derailed the season, I remember Tyler Wilson tried to become the emotional leader of the Hogs, then got his lights put out by ULM. It was over when that happened.

Can Ole Miss play under this pressure?

I doubt it.

When they lose two games gonna be hard for them not to mail it in, but football is different now too; every time the players are on the field it's game film for a NFL team

It's doubly hard for Ole Miss players.. they've lost a coach and they're unemployed.

All I know is there are at least 2 three star players who's fathers are already "shopping around". If 3 star guys are looking, you can bet the 4 and 5 stars definitely are.

I don't know but we need at least 100 more Ole Miss threads about this over the next 25 days. Thank you for your help.

Shopping around. Only ole miss pays players. If we stop paying why would they transfer? Some other schools not named ole miss are going to pay them? Pff dream on

They will be competitive for about a half and then start to wear down like last year. They lack depth at alot of positions.

They will give up after the first couple of losses. They may bounce back for 1 game if someone stages their own funeral for a motivational tactic.

I think for the short term the players will have an "us vs. the world" mentality and play hard.

When the sanctions are announced in late September, many current players will start shopping for places to transfer.

I almost feel sorry for the few sensible OM fans.

This is just round one. Wait until the actual hearing in about 30+ days or so.
Ole Miss fans deserve all the derision and debasement that can be heaped on them.
For a program that has not won anything of significance in 50+ years, OM fans have been as arrogant as possible. Not to mention the pretension of your fan base as being part of some southern aristocracy with all that Grove bullshite.
Why don't you invite Katy Perry back to Oxford to throw a benefit concert for the survivors of the great Freeze?

See Georgia game last year. See Egg Bowl last year. Those are the type of players they have. They'll give up, regardless of what they're saying today.

I think it will all start with the fans. If they aren't geeked, it'll be hard for the team to be. And I think the Ole Miss faithful have had a lot of air knocked out of them.

We mailed it in last year after Chad Kelly got hurt.

Shea had a grand game against the Aggys, but he tried to run vs. Vandy and The Moo and was clobbered.

If he stifles his urge to run, our offense has a chance.

And, CrimeDog has to pull us off the bottom of the NCAA defense stats.
