Can't wait to be drinking a cup of coffee at Starkville Cafe Sunday morning repping my LSU gear. Ahh it's going to be a good feeling knowing LSU will run the rock down your throat

yeah that feeling is gonna be nice.

I'll say it again Beckwith is going in raw on Dak, for real. Dak's gonna try to live up to the hype and will be real excited and will get hit like he didn't last year.

I will give state fans this...at least they are true fans. At least they aren't bandwagonners...to pull for a team that has been bad for that long lets you know they are real fans.

Why Chavis kept the out-of-position LB (beckwith?) in for so long is a mystery. That was one of the worst defensive coaching performances I've seen by Chavis (aside from late 4th quarter stuff). Ya'll literally had guys moving away from the play at the start of multiple plays.

While I think LSU did well getting rid of Chavis, I don't know that Steele is an upgrade. And with the amount of talent the state of LA produces defensively (particularly DLs and DBs), I thought you would get a much better DC than Steele.

For the record, I don't think Chavis' style will work well at aTm this year. I think the state of Tx as a whole is producing less and less defensive talent, particularly along the lines. At both Tn and LSU he did best when he had elite DL and elite CBs (of course those make everyone look good).

Cheers Dlab2013!
(MSU still wins!)

me too...I'm so jacked to watch LSU though, it's like Christmas Eve or drinking at a bar before you get on a plane. The anticipation is almost more fun. Not really in this case, but you get what i'm saying

Nope, that was DJ Welter....

It took him to dive at air trying to tackle an Aubbie player for Chavis to see this guy isn't good enough. He played his heart out, but he wasn't even close to being talented enough, was an ok special teams player though.

Judging by the responses, I must say, this is a decent grind. So it begins.

Just rewatched last years game. I have to give it to LSU, their starters are much much better than MSU's third string players. I don't see how State can win this one. Maybe home field advantage? I don't know though, doesn't seem like enough.

Cowbells are about as obnoxious as purple, gold and glitter clown costumes that LSU fans wear.

I really do hope to meet some folks at the Cafe. The grits are salty and the coffee is full of grind.
