OU is a rushing team. Bama stops the run. If Bama doesn't turn the ball over they are 2 Tds better than OU.

You know how I know you have no idea what the frick you're talking about?

Why do you insist on trying to appear more knowledgeable than you actually are?

Good post, I feel the same and I think is a pretty legit assessment of a possible matchup in the CFP

I can see that too in Total Defense OM is 55 and OU is 31.

I do think OU offense matches up better with Bama's defense rather than OMs offense. If Bama is to play OU, I could see a 24-17 type game.

By the way, nice discussion. Although you are UT scum.

If you watch that game 2 years ago Derrick Henry carved them up and only played in the second half with very few touches.

How are they going to deal with him? A bigger stronger faster version of Henry..their LB's and DB 's didn't want to tackle him as it was and this time he will pound them 30 plus times.

I think it plays out like the game against tOSU where the one of them scores a last second TD to win the game.

And OU has faced considerably better offenses than OM has.

It's nice to have actual discussion on here once in awhile, even if it is with GumpNecks

We know...resistance is futile...surrender before being destroyed...blah, blah, blah.

Henry gashed OU 2 years ago and we shy'd away from the run. Partly because we played from behind. We can't allow that to happen.

Chad Kelly Stats:
3740 yards 27 TDs 12 INTs.... 427 yards rushing on 97 attempts. 4.4 YPC

Baker Mayfield Stats:
3389 yards, 35 TDs, 5 INTs....420 yards rushing on 131 attempts. 3.2 YPC

I see far fewer mistakes from Mayfield and the YPC tells me most of the TDs were probably "goal to go."

ETA: Wait nevermind. I thought YPC was yards per catch until I REALLY thought about it

But you have to figure their schedule too:

#3 Oklahoma's Schedule:

Akron (7-5)
Tennessee (8-4)
Tulsa (6-6)
West Virginia (7-4)
Texas (4-7)
Kansas St (5-6)
Texas Tech (7-5)
Kansas (0-12)
Iowa State (3-9)
Baylor (9-2) ** 1 game to play (OU played Baylor without their starting QB)
TCU (10-2) (Played TCU without Boykin AND Doctson)
Oklahoma St (10-2)

But, even if some of the carries were goal to go. Mayfield had 34 more carries.

More stats...

Mayfield has had 7 Rushing TDs. Chad Kelly has had 10 Rushing TDs.

ETA: Yards per carries rather than yards per catches.

Oklahoma would bring a fight and would not be intimidated by Alabama. The Sooners have the most important thing that can beat Alabama... A quarterback. I am done listening to any hype about how awesome Alabama is going into the post-season and how their feeble opponents don't have a chance. frick all of that non-sense.

UT had Baker running for his life, Bama will do the same if they play except Bama's defenders will more than likely finish the sack, not let him escape like he seemed to do countless times against us.

Yeah I am surprised at all the respect for teams opponents thats been shown here, hell I have been paying Saban compliments in other threads at how he has been willing to make staff changes unlike Miles and Richt and how that has affected their job securities not Sabans dominance of the conference, weird shite I know right lol

Serious question (not trolling) but when was the gashing. I do not remember it and the stat line shows 129 yards on 35 carries for the team.

Henry had 100 yards on 8 carries and had a 61 yard TD reception. McCarron got harassed all night, which killed the rushing yardage.
