IMO OU is the best team in college football right now and I don't see how anyone can stop Mayfield.

How do y'all think Bama matches up with OU?

They have yet to play a defense quite like Alabama's. Something will give.

OU will be a challenge to stop.

That being said, OU hasn't faced very many good defenses at all. If you take away the cupcakes, they have faced just one top 50 defense (Tennessee)

Easy - they'll stuff the run and make them one dimensional, then play kill the QB the rest of the night.

Saban owes Stoops payback. He'll get it this year.

Mayfield: 34 sacks taken this year (6th most in the nation in sacks taken)

Alabama: 41 sacks forced, 3rd in the nation

That's how. Their Oline is going to get eaten alive.

I hope so. My brother and sister in law are OU alums and literally all they eat sleep and breathe is OU and never shut up about how great the school and Norman is.

They are in their mid 30s and still wear head to toe OU society and fraternity stuff every day.

OU is the most difficult opponent and what I hope will transpire is we get enough pressure on him to force errors or atleast make him much less effective. Coker is going to have to play like he did second half of TN and Auburn because his slow starts kill us.

Mayfield may not finish the game

Only 1 offense has scored more than 20 pts on Bama defense. Ole Miss scored on short fields because of the 5 turnovers, an illegal play , and a miracle throw up prayer tipped for a td.

A&M scored a td on special teams.

Bama has an improved secondary and Pass rush. OU is not a threat. They beat some back up QBs and an OSU team that has a worse Oline than Mississippi St.

Start the game in base with 7 men in the box. If that doesn't work, add another to spy Mayfield. Unless they just start tossing bombs down the field, Bama should hold them in check. If they have someone that can go up and snag those things out of the air though, it's gonna be a long night for Bama.

Yea, OU will be tough. I think they lucked out in some games.

Faced Baylor when they had their 2nd string QB
Faced TCU without Boykin and Doctson

Lost to Texas (because they failed to run as much) Seems like, you have to let Mayfield beat you. If you stop Perine and Mixon. You will have more success. TN played them tough.

Just love how people on the rant post blind bull shite. You haven't watched a down of $ooner football dude. Oklahoma has become a good football team because they are finally feeding Perine and Joe Mixon. Baker Mayfield is a good QB but if he drops back 30 times against Clemson,Alabama,or Michigan State he will get punished.

They won't. They'll lose just like they did two years ago. Just like they let Urban take their manhood last year.

I am sure Saban will either steal their signals or hire some assistant that knows them.

OU lost to Texas. And Texas didn't even pass the ball. Just runs and qb runs.

I know OU's success starts running the ball. However, I didn't realize that OU's OL is made up of the following:

LT: Orlando Brown RS FR
LG: Jonathan Alvarez SO
C: Ty Darlington SR
RG: Nila Kasitati RS SR
RT: Dru Samia FR

3 underclassmen and 2 FR on the bookends.

We see the hook but it lacks appeal from an LSU fan to be honest

Again, OU has an oline that gives up a ton of sacks and TFLs (so does Bama, but Bama's D is more likely to force those sacks than Oklahoma's)

Alabama will probably give up about 350-400 yards to OU, and if those 350-400 yards don't translate into 30 points, Alabama wins. If they score more than 30, Alabama loses.
