Last nights loss was an absolute disgrace and complete embarrassment. Having said that, it's ridiculous how teams like Auburn and Tennesee absolutely sh*t the bed when they have an opportunity to help the conference RPI by beating terrible Big 12 teams, but they'll play out of their minds when UK comes to town.

Or maybe UK isn't that good and is simply living off their name this year.

People were saying UK was not that great EARLY this season. Bilas said before the season they could lose 8 or 9. He was told what an idiot he was. He probably was an idiot, 8 or 9 may have been understating it. What people thought was a classic between Duke and UK was actually two teams struggling mightily. UK is not done either. Nor is Duke. These programs aren't going away they are just down this year.

Less than a week ago they took #4 Kansas to OT in a building where that doesn't happen very often. They also have other quality wins on the schedule.

They're inconsistent, but it's not like we haven't seen this in other years during SEC play as late as right before the SEC Tournament. I still think they have some success in March.

Cal's approach is not sustainable. You don't turn over 1/2 of the roster every damn year and build a long-term program.

It's no secret this year's incoming class everywhere was lower on talent than last year or next year's. We lost alot and this team is simply learning as they go.

He's in his 7th season at UK, making him the second longest tenured coach in the conference behind Stallings. His results in that time:

09-10: Elite Eight
10-11: Final Four
11-12: National Championship
12-13: NIT 1st round
13-14: NC Runner-Up
14-15: Final Four
15-16: TBA

What exactly is your timeframe that you'd consider "long-term"? Per 2009, the average tenure of a major conference basketball coach is 4.95 years.

You lost to moon moon, blowing a 21-point lead in the process.

Play like that in Reed and you will lose by a lot more than 7.

Kentucky is a long term program. We've been doing this for over 100 years. Cal's approach is rivaling Rupp in terms of success. You're just not very astute are you?
