When we had the BCS everyone bitched and moaned that we need a playoff. However, With the way the rankings are shaping up - being SEC dominated, if the CFP committee puts more than 1 SEC team in the playoff watch people cry foul and say the BCS was better.

Nah. If it's not SEC domination this year or in the next couple, once they open it up to an 8 team playoff, it will be SEC domination.

The SEC is going to win it this year regardless so it doesn't really matter if they put one or two in.

All that was ever needed before the BCS came along was to add an extra game.

The BCS ranking system WAS better. All they should've done is left that in place and taken the top 4 teams in the BCS to create the 4 team playoff.
All that matters anyway is that we eventually get to an 8 team playoff. That way all 5 power conference champs can go and there's still room for 3 at large teams.
*Notre Dame should be force to join a conference.

I don't see how this is possible when according to the trant the playoff is a conspiracy against the SEC

I never thought anything was wrong with the BCS. the system worked. The only people complaining where groups of fans like FSU and Boise that complained they couldnt get their chance even though they scheduled community colleges.

The problem will come in the committee. Much more available biases, which the BCS did a good job of getting rid of.
I have said all along, sometimes the evil you know, is better than the evil you don't. Should of just kept the BCS rankings. Could even do the Big 10 plan of 3 conference champs, and an at-large team. Easily doable with the BCS.

If you ask me nothing is changed.Exanple if we have 2 or 3 one loss teams in the west. 1 goes to Atlanta and wins do any others in the west go?You will still have others around the nation with one loss.Lets say ohio state ,Oregon and Oklahoma.Also Florida state is undefeated and Nore Dame has 1 loss who goes to the 4 game playoff.In basketball they take 64 teams to the playoffs and there is still a team or two bitching about being left out.

My preference was an 8 team playoff with the 5 power conference champs given a spot and then 3 at large bids. But a 4 team is still better than 2, so I'm not complaining right now. I do think they should have kept the BCS to pick those 4 instead of this committee shite.

Im almost positive that no matter what system the talking heads will conjure up, no matter how many more playoff spots they'll add - nothing will completely please all fan bases. The season is just too short and there isnt enough games. The BSC system was the best. That IMO, worked beautifully.

When a 4 loss FSU wins the ACC and is ranked #12 they would get a spot. In the old system the most damage done when that happened was a BCS game bid.
There is no way #1 should have to waste a game against #8 in a playoff.

Playoffs suck. I was longing for the BCS the second they announced this nonsense.
