We're the richest school and the poorest football program. Can't we just, you know, shift a little cash around and maybe hire Saban? It's not like this whole 'academic' thing is really in vogue anymore.

Florida should be worth way more than Auburn.

South Carolina is 15th. That's amazing for a team as historically mediocre as we've been.

OSU and TX don't surprise me...big population states and huge Alum base. What does surprise me is OU. The state has less population than AL and LA and comparably successful.

OU has a massive alumni base in DFW and also half the plains states follow them. It's a lot like the Denver Broncos, Denver is a hub for like a thousand mile radius and peoplefrom 15 states call them "their team" none of the states are large, but it does add up.

Also, I don't go to Alabama or Louisiana a lot but I do go to Oklahoma and Texas all the time so it may be the same for you guys but it seems to me that just about everyone in the state is a fan and buys team logo swag for basically their entire wardrobe.

The most surprising thing on this list is actually how far Texas has fallen, since Vince Young they have lost an astounding amount of money due to lost fans. They should be the top team by at least 200 million with the population, alumni base, dedication to the sport of the locals, and history (self inflated history...but historically they were VERY dependable and the bad years weren't THAT bad).

Wonder if they accounted for a possible 30 pt loss to MSU week 3?

And LSU and Tennessee

I'm not against Auburn being at the back of the Big 6, honestly. We're the only non state-name/primary state school besides ND.

LSU being so high doesn't really make a lot of sense, although they obviously should be in the top 10.
