For him to reject OM money and sign at bama? That's a question to be asked.
But I'm sure just wearing that Crimson jersey was enough. Harvey updyke may have signed him an autograph? Free deer antler spray? Roll damn tide.

He grew up in Tuscaloosa, 5 minutes from campus. I'm sure we had to pay him a lot of money to get him to UA.

where is all the Bo and ole miss stuff coming from? I've never heard this until last two days and no one has anything substantial on it.

The conspiracy theory is that OM didn't pay him to go to Ole Miss, but to not take an OV to MSU. Not really sure why they would need to do that since, as you said, he grew up in Tuscaloosa, but that's the fringe Elitedawg conspiracy theory.

Wait. Ole Miss paid Bo, a Tuscaloosa native and Alabama lock, not to visit Starkville? I think any reasonable person with average intelligence could believe that. Sounds legit

well that, and Saban could just show him his 5 national championship rings, 6 SEC titles, and dozens of players he's put in the NFL. it's really not a hard sell. alabama recruits itself at this point

He was suspended the first four games of this season (meaningless because he was hurt anyhow). Saban said the reason was for an "issue related to amateurism". He also said that the suspension had "nothing to do with Alabama's recruiting process" and Alabama faced no NCAA issues related to it.
From those statements, it has been assumed that whatever happened was done by one of the other programs heavily recruiting him. He took visits to Notre Dame, UCLA, and Ole Miss. Since there was already an 'Ole Miss is cheating at recruiting' theme running, Bo's situation just got added to the list.
FWIW, there's another story line that says the guilty party was associated with Free Shoes U.

Thanks. That is the most reasonable explanation I have heard from anyone.
