Well then I'd be kinda worried if I was A&M because the series between MSU and A&M is 4-4 all time.

Actually, we over achieve but hey, perception is reality right?

I'd feel real about MSU's chances if we were in the East. I think all teams from the West but A&M and Ark could win the East. I'm still not sold on Arkansas like everyone else. Still shaky at QB, WR, lost their 3 or 4 best defensive play guys.

LSU, Bama and Auburn for sure... Ole Miss & Arkansas if they only have to play two West teams would be in the mix.

I know Arkansas beat you 30 - 0 and all but c'mon now. I think Auburn has more of a shot than Arkansas.

I think Tennessee will be pretty good next year. Apparently Butch has been teaching those boys the proper way to shower; should translate to Ws on the field. Brick by brick.

Showering etiquette was the only thing Derek did in his tenure. It's the one thing Butch didn't have to fix.

UGA may underacheive, but you achieve nothing ever! Just because you play in the west and the west has some good teams up top , doesn't mean you are by any shape of the imagination or that your could win the east. Things are cyclical in this conference and I would say that the teams in the east are much closer , than your western brethren want to believe.

Actually, none of the west teams could ever win the east. Oh and you are stupid.

I never said anything about State though, although we did finish 2nd in the west last year and went to a new years 6 game, vastly exceeding our pre season expectations. The fact is Georgia underachieves year in and year out. And honestly I hope that the the East is improved last year, because yall looked like dog shite last year.

The only reason you finished second in the west is because it was so down. You lost to the best 3 teams you played.

Last year the west was no better than any other conference or division. And it looks great to claim you beat up on each other and everything , but then you actually have take the field against top 25 teams OOD and OOC. And what happened???

The west , who you think all the teams could win the East, was 3-9 against a the Final top 25 OOD and OOC. You think the west has a lock on the best teams. Give me a freaking break.

Yeah well there is a difference there bud. We aren't ranked pre-season top 10 every year. We don't bring in top 10 recruiting classes every year. On top of that yall play in the East. Georgia underachieves every year and that's just fact.

I agree that we underachieve, but if top ten is your measure, we finish in the top ten quite often.

I'd say that Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Ole Miss would have a shot to win the East.

If Georgia were in the West, I'd put them squarely behind Auburn and probably even with Alabama in terms of preseason rankings. LSU and Ole Miss aren't too far behind.

One of these 2 teams has averaged 10 wins a year for 15 years, the other other has never won 10 games in ONE year. One has multiple SEC/NC titles, the other has ZERO. Please don't act as If these two programs are on equal playing fields

Auburn and Alabama likely would. Miss St LSU, and Arkansas couldn't. The rest would have an outside shot, I suppose.

Well assuming that Florida will be significantly better, which I believe they will be, then I'd say Bama, Auburn, LSU, and Mississippi State. Arkansas is still hampered by Allen at QB and that causes an inconsistent passing game. Ole Miss is really going to miss Brosef, but they should still be good and have probably the best D in the league all around. And A&M has not proven yet that it belongs in the top tier of the SEC.

I'd say everyone except A&M could win the East in 2015, emphasis on could.

I'd say your Momma must have been impregnated with fricktard sperm and bath salts the day she conceived you .... obviously.

MSU could not win the ACC Coastal Division this coming season ... emphasis on could.

ETA" "fricktard" before "sperm"

Hold your horses, the east may not be that far behind the west. I am interested to see what effect the new sec rule started in 2012 limiting recruit letters of intent to 28 per year has.

Will some of the west teams be so great now that they cannot recruit large classes and process with the same gusto they once did? If not we should start to see it this year and may have seen some of it last year already.

For instance, one successful SEC West team recruited these numbers from 2008 thru 2011: 2008/35, 2009/28, 2010/44, 2011/33. I guess you will find some darn good players with those numbers.

It could turn out the west will still be great as they always have been. It could also mean things even out between east and west instead.

Going to be a fun season to watch.
