How many times has your team been in the CWS finals?

South Carolina has been 6 times, which was tied with most in the conference with LSU. Until today, of course. Congrats to them
We are 2-4 during our appearances
I know LSU has never lost the series when they've made it, which is ridiculously impressive.

Vandy, Fla, UGA, and Mizzou are the only others besides the 3 already mentioned.
ETA: CNB pointed out MSU also

imo, LSU and South Carolina are the top 2 baseball programs in the conference.
florida will disagree but their lack of championships and their inconsistency over the years (they have long spans with mediocre teams), not to mention mediocre fan support just doesn't qualify them for the tops.

MSU made it in 2013
Had to look at their wiki cause I couldn't remember. It has its own neat little section on the side where it has all the championships and appearances.

Florida doesn't even have an argument.

shite. Can't believe I forgot.
Regarding Florida, I'd put Vandy and MSU above them in the tier. No disrespect to the gators fwiw

Since thread title didn't specifically say SEC, I will chime in.
Oklahoma's 2 National Championships are their only appearances; defeated Tennessee in 1951 and Georgia Tech in 1994.

I legit forgot they won that year. 2-0 is nice.

I didn't realize that. I knew they had won it twice and lost it at least once, but I didn't realize they had three other appearances, too. That's very cool.

That's more impressive than being 2-0, honestly.

Well, it wasn't a series the first five times, but just a single game. There were a couple of years (1996 and 2000) when it might have been different if it had been a series. But no doubt, six titles in six trips to the championship game/series is impressive.

3 of our 6 appearances were when they were 1 game. I believe it was changed right after we lost to Texas in the final game. Can't remember the year off the top of my head, so I might be wrong.
Just confirmed it. The last title game was South Carolina/Texas before it changed to a best of 3 in 2003

Oklahoma athletics were beyond crap in the 1990s with the exception of that 1994 baseball season. You aren't the only one who forgets OU baseball was relevant years ago. Some locals forget OU even plays baseball, lol.

I never realized South Carolina has been to the championship 6 times. If so that's really impressive

LSU would be perfect in title games if not for Leslie

Regarding LSU, I could see '96 being a tough 2/3 series. We were much better than Stanford in 2000.
How crazy would have '09 Texas been if it was one game during that first game 9th inning

I'm pretty sure LSU Beat Bama in the 2000 championship. Was that 97' or 2000?
