Kiffin will be Florida's OC one day under McElwain and I'm gonna laugh when you're slobbing his knob.

He's a good OC. I'd want him on Mcelwain's staff.

He's not a good head coach.

Kiffin is going to LSU at the end of the year and he will get them in championship contention within 4 years and then Saban will retire and Kiffin will come back to Alabama and it will be Meldaown part Deux. Will be glorious!!!

Let this soak in - Kiffin was the most successful coach in terms of winning percentage since Fulmer left at UT. At USC, he inherited a program on probation hampered in recruiting and still never had a losing season at helped them to a 10-2 record in his second season. The guys not a bad coach. He's never had a losing season and can develop a QB. Does anybody remember how awful UT's QB was in 2008 and how much he improved in 2009?

Just described 88% of the guys holding that job.

This.

Some people just aren't cut out to be head coaches and are better-suited to be assistants. There's a ton of organizational and personnel management skill required, not to mention a knack for roster management and the need to consistently innovate your approach to both sides of the ball.

I'm sure he'll get another HC gig given his success at Alabama, but God help the AD who hires him. He's already had a really good job (Tennessee) and a great job (USC) and both ended up being miserable failures.

This is accurate. LSU is going to miss the boat, but Auburn might snatch him up. He'll be competing for the SEC in year one.

You didn't mention his third season when he was the first coach since 1964 to take a team from ranked #1 preseason to unranked at the end. Also his fourth season when he was fired after five games losing to Washington State and Arizona St.

He deserves another chance. He was too young and immature when he got his first shot. He's learned a lot since then and deserves another shot. He needs to go take over a smaller program for a few years then make the move to another major program

I think Kiffin will win and win big at his next job. He's more mature now and has always been a great offensive mind imo

And you know this how? Next time you talk to him, tell him good f'ing luck in his future endeavors. It will not be at LSU.

I love Kiffin (as an OC) but his trolling on twitter tells me this isn't true.

We had a heart-to-heart talk about his career while railing lines and KKGs in the men's bathroom in Moe's.

Great coordinators do not necessarily make great head coaches.

Regardless, Kiffin will likely get one more shot as a head coach at a big program.

He's coaching with Saban. No way he hasn't picked up a ton from working with him. And i agree I don't want him at all at LSU right now but he deserves and will get another shot somewhere. He's still a young guy

"How many times does Kiffin get to fail as a head coach"

Another ignorant thread that will develop nothing of value or interest.

There are -way- too many man-boys on this site.

How old are you, boy?
