On the contrary. They could raise a lot more and feed way more people with a good hire.

I don't know, I'm sure information on Nick Saban's charity is available online if you want to look it up.
As far as his salary, he provides a very high ROI for the University allowing them to do many things with the excess money the football program brings into the Athletic Dept and University.
