Its hard to argue that the South is not the hub of the NASCAR fanbase (just like its the center of the CFB world), but are these individuals the same fans who love college football, or is this an entirely different group of people?

Generally speaking, people in Texas don't give a rip about NASCAR,and don't consider it a sport. Basically, it is in the same realm as the WNBA, tennis, and soccer on the don't-give-a-frick meter ; are we the only SEC state that feels this way?

(Random topic, I know, but just saw NASCAR crap on ESPN2 and had to turn the channel)

I hate NeckCar. Will only watch the last 10 laps if I happen to find it on by accident.

So, you are saying 99% of Bama fans are also NeckCar fans?

I watched it when I was younger. The people who down it without knowing anything about it and spew the typical "they only left turn hurr" garbage are just as ignorant as the jorts and mullet crowd that are professed to support it.

Meh. Will watch the last two laps maybe some times if I happen across it while flipping channels.

So based on the responses, it appears that diehard CFB fans don't have much crossover with diehard NASCAR fans.

Makes you wonder if actual NASCAR fans exist; no one here seems to know any, and most of these responses are from people who live anywhere between Texas and Florida

I might be interested if they made the race like five laps. Then send half of the field around the track in the opposite direction at the same time.
