How Long Until Peyton Manning is a Head Coach?

I can't think of any other player in history that is so ready to coach football. He is a student of the game, and can lead and inspire men.
If I was a team like the Browns I would offer him an OC position the day he retired. What do they have to lose?

He is gonna be hit with a show clause for what will be known as "the first vol to land on the moon"

I don't see him being a coach. Possibly GM though

Would love for him to be QB coach in New Orleans, after a year off.

What makes you say that? Is he going to go into acting or something instead?
His dad sure has fun running Ole Miss's program unofficially.

Said he'd like to come back and Coach QB's at UT last year. I doubt it ever happens and see him going the GM route

It is too much work. He'll be a GM if he ever does anything with a team besides a consultant.
I think he'll go into media and be on one of those Sunday shows.

Titans GM in a few years.

Think he'll be exactly what Strahan is today, albeit smarter.

I think he'd make an excellent replacement for Roger Goodell.

why the hell he would want to is my question?
if he wants to, i'm sure he can do it, esp if he is willing to work his way up and not just be "anointed".
there is much, much, much, much, much more to being a head coach than being a student of the game and leading and inspiring.
newsflash, often great players make lousy coaches. pick the sport.

The only thing that would happen if he became a HC (especially at UT) is his legacy being tarnished, albeit slightly. He'd have to be competing for National Championships every year to live up to the standard he set as a player.

He could make really good money as a TV guy, but at the same time i think his career ended before he wanted too, and I could see him still being too competitive to completely walk away.

anybody would improve that job

He isn't evil enough.

I don't think he'll be a good head coach nor do I think he'd enjoy it. He'd hold players to his playing standards and try to coach them from his perspective as a brilliant football mind.
I think he'll be a hell of a GM though.
But I could be wrong.
