Trying to make sense of the AP rankings.. which is probably where I went wrong.

But unbeaten Florida beats #3 Ole Miss by 28, but is ranked behind a one loss Alabama who beat #8 Georgia by 28.

By the way, the team Alabama lost to? The same team Florida just thumped.

Florida too low. Bama too high. Out.

Ole Miss beat Bama, but everyone ignores that they struggled with Vandy last week. Teams can change a lot week to week.

Who do you think is the best team between the 2?

This early in the season there is not much difference in 4-1 and 5-0, plus Bama has earned the benefit of doubt over the past 7 years. Only once has Bama lost more than 1 regular season game. 12-0, 12-0, 9-3, 11-1,11-1, 11-1, 11-1. With 3 SECCG and BCSCG wins. Bama just dominated a top 10 Team.

Maybe the voters are doing what they should, rank whom they think is best, not just who has the best record at this early juncture. Is a 5-0 Iowa, Cal, Toledo team better than Bama?, should they automatically be ahead becuase they're undefeated?

Because they are probably better?

Like I said before, Bama is a fluke TD from being unbeaten.

Bama is undefeated. We beat ourselves against Ole Miss. Technically, that counts as a victory over Alabama. That is a victory over a good team. It makes perfect sense.

As a Gator I have no problem with it. We still have weak areas that are going to cost some games for us whereas Bama generally is more consistent.

The fact that this is even a topic does show how much of a sh1tshow all the teams are this year

We play Bama in 2 weeks and we will find out how we match up. Bama has a good team.

No reason to stir up shite.

We're two years removed from losing to GA Southern. I don't think anyone cares at this point in the year

I guess the difference between any of those teams compared to UF or Bama is that they haven't beat top ranked teams.

I agree with your statements mostly, except the 7 year track record. A team's current position shouldn't be influenced by more than 2-3 years of past accomplishment. Some would argue no past year accomplishments should be considered.

I find it odd though that an unbeaten SEC team who whipped #3 can't crack the top 10. While Alabama with one loss, can.

Not trying to stir anything. Bama is who they are, regardless if i question the difference of rank between them and Florida.
