Auburn held Clemson to 248 yards passing and 151 yards rushing for a total of 399 yards.

Most impressively, Auburn held Clemson to 3.4 ypc.

Overall Auburn held Clemson to 5.11 yards per play.

Troy, in their game with Clemson, held Clemson to 292 yards passing and 122 yards rushing. For a total of 414 yards. Troy allowed 3.8 ypc, suggesting that the Clemson rushing attack is just bad and Troy allowed a total of 4.87 yards per play.

Auburn's defense does not seem to be as good as the Troy defense.

Next we compare how Texas A&M did against Auburn vs. how they did against UCLA.

Texas A&M had 247 yards passing and 231 yards rushing against Auburn for a total of 478 yards of offense. A&M averaged 6.2 ypc and 6.2 yards per play.

against UCLA Texas A&M had 239 yards passing and 203 yards rushing for a total of 442 yards of offense. A&M averaged 5.0 ypc and 5.33 yards per play.

Auburn's defense isn't as good as UCLA's.

Overall, it looks like Auburn's defense might be rather bad this season with their early success attributed more to Clemson's failure rather than actual defensive ability.

We are about as good as you can expect a D to be when our O is 3 and out 90 percent of the time.

Don't you have a game to worry about this week? You'll get your turn with us eventually to try and even up the series between Bielema and Gus.

We had an 87 yard touchdown run. That does tend to skew things a little.

LSU was gashed by every decent rush offense they played last year. AU's front is more talented, but aTm still ran at will.

I think their secondary is underrated, but their rush D is going to disappoint many of their fans over the course of the season.

AU's defense is terrible. Don't worry about it. The line should open up -21 Hogs. Ya'll will be fine.

The weather here is like it always is this time of year, hot and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

It's low 90's right now during the day and the rain has backed off some, mostly inland, so the beaches are fantastic.

It's my hometown. Haven't been back in a couple of years though. Can't be any warmer than Atlanta right now!
