How does yesterday effect Bama?

Listening to Finebaum of all people! The word is out with Ole Miss.
Does the NCAA go after Alabama now? Will there be a further investigation after Bo Davis was fired on what seems like the worst day in Ole Miss football history?
It would be a shame if Saban's legacy was tarished like Tom Brady's. But I doubt Lil Nicki, if true, would go out on his own. He would take errybody down with him.

quote:How many times has this happened since Saban has been there? What makes this time any different than the last times when the media and PF all claimed it was bad for Bama and the NCAA just let it go? It will end up just like all the stuff with Richardson and his mom, Fluker, and Bama hiding they disassociated a booster from the NCAA.
I doubt the NCAA just lets it go.

Bo did not break the rules in recruiting one player & get caught recruiting one player. For him to get fired it has to be something either major or long term. And FWIW: Finebaum said on his show yesterday that "Miss Terry gave me a tour of their house & she let me peek into his closet". And this arse clown is supposedly representing the entire SEC on his show.

Sheep can't speak. Not a fair comparison.

It was there when the Means case blew up too and it didn't help so this means nothing.
2nd, nobody has any idea. It depends on:
what the violation was
when did Bama know about it
What actions did they take
Again, nobody knows but I'll say this. If you find it before the NCAA does it can bode well for you. It DOES NOT mean you will get away with it but it CAN help. Bama did it the right way from what is being said but it could mean nothing.
if this was large cash payouts, there is evidence to back it up and it was going on during said players career. You would look at severe schollie sanctions and vacating wins.
if it was a recruit who was offered something to sign and never any evidence of money changing hands again was found, you look at probably around 10 schollies over 3 years.
if it was trying to induce a recruit but no paper trail can be found and athlete signed elsewhere, see Cam Newton. Nothing will come of it. Once we know who, what and where, you can sort of narrow down the severity.
If the player is who I'm being told it is I'll give you one guess where he ended up signing with.

I'm sure it was lying to Bama or NCAA investigators. Ethics violations lead to show causes and there is no reason to have a coach investigated for that on staff post Tressel. I seem to remember UF dumping a guy under similar circumstances. Not sure what came from that
Everyone seems to be linking it to Jeff Simmons, so it seems he broke some rule in his recruitment.
If it was illegal contact, Bama loses a few official visits, and the coach gets hammered
If he paid the player, it opens up a look into his recruitment of 100s of other players and their eligibility
It's doubtful that a guy who wants to play at MSST would say he was paid since he would be ineligible, but who knows?
