How do we make SEC basketball better. Why is it not better?

We are in generally just sort of trudging around with an overall conference (before you jump UK and FL) sense of completely mediocrity
We make enough money. More than anyone has EVER this year for all sports.
What are we missing here. We are the worst power 5.
This is relevant because basketball is starting really soon and its just all the same old shite.

This should be the best the league has been in about 10 years.

Yep, FBI is gonna bone a lot of people. But perhaps in the aftermath, the SEC can rise from the ashes.

Hire very good head coaches.
LSU did that last spring (Will Wade) and will be back contending soon, maybe in 18-19.

The league overall was pretty salty last season. It will be even better this season.

One and done ain’t helping anyone not named Calipari. We have one helluva PG this year in Colin Sexton. If we had him for 3 years like football does, we could build a Final Four team around him. As it is, we’ve probably got only this season to put it together and he’s a once in a generation player for us.
