It's getting easier. Championship tickets were pretty cheap last time around. I guess there's a been there done that attitude developing.

My greatest expense has been paying off the refs. I've had to use both payday loans and title loans to meet their monetary demands.

Your average fan doesn't go.

We've got plenty of well heeled, sports coat wearing fans that have no trouble with it.

They sell t-shirts to the lesser gumps and the government takes it out of everyone else's checks.

Paying players?

Is this oil in Alabama?

They're like the Deadheads. They move from site to site, selling grilled cheese sandwiches and their bodies for ticket money.

Ok, I'll assume you are looking for serious response.

I have been to 3 nc games and one semi playoff last 7 years.

Here is my method.

1. In early February, as soon as the new ticket reserve, comes out, I buy Two reservations for the championship game. This year those cost me $65 or $130
This money I'll never get back if bama does not make it.
Face value of tickets are $450 each. There is $30 dollar shipping etc for tickets. Total outlay $1060. Good seats in corner.

2. Sometime in august, I'll shop for airfare. This year for Tampa game, I paid $365 for two tickets.

3. Shopped hotel rooms on hotel.com. Found great hotel within walking distance of all activities downtown for three nights for $150 per night. Total $550

4. Car rental. 3 days. $400 with insurance etc.

5. Food , beverage, etc $1000

Total $3375. for two.

A lot of money? Yes, but there are many who spend 3-4 times or more depending on seating, airfare, lodging etc.

Is it crazy? No. if your are a fan and never seen your team win a championship like the BCS or CFP, it's all worth it.

Hope this helps
