Y'all feel like this guy??

quote:

Our next two games, collectively, are Spav's last chance to get his shite together. The dude has been freaking awful. Our offensive scores have come in spite of his playcalling thanks to freak catches by our receivers and missed tackles/blown assignments by the other team. It's unacceptable. If we lose EITHER the Arkansas game OR the MSU game, he should be fired or demoted on Sunday morning. I'd even venture to say if we struggle badly offensively against Arkansas but manage to win, that should still be enough to get him demoted. We can't have this kid calling plays in the SEC West. It's like having Mark Snyder coaching our defense. Our season rests on Spavital's shoulders in my opinion. He has plenty of talent to rip opposing defenses to shreds, despite our lack of depth at RB, and it's time for him to start doing his job. Chavis will field a competent defense. It's the kid learning (but apparently not learning) on the job who we have to worry about. If Spavital doesn't show up big the next two weeks, we don't have a whole lot to look forward to against Bama, Ole Miss, and LSU.

I like Spav. IMO he gets too little credit when we're hot & too much blame when we're not. He's a good OC

It's kinda like the "Saban coaches DBs" situation. Sumlin was the guru when JFF was tearing shite up............ Things don't look good..... That Spavintal Kid better tighten up

There will be a direct relationship with the positive feelings toward Spav and the experience level of Kyle Allen/Kyler Murray.

Bubble Screens , lack of HUNH, and no running game are a legit concern throughout your fanbase. Spavintal is the OC.

Just wanted an honest opinion. The guy I quoted isn't happy, half your board isn't happy. What needs to change?

For me, those flaggets from Baton Rouge need to stop lurking our board. That change alone would essentially fix all of our problems

Meh. I read Arky melts, Aubbie Melts, Bammy melts, Vandy.....eh, Bully Melts, and Aggie Melts. Don't feel too special, I even read Cuse and Ohio St. BS.

The question is simple.

Do you trust Jake Spavintal?

He's done better so far this year. Not sure how much of that is Christensen's effect, but better.

Last year, I would agree he was "freaking awful." We were so scared of Trill not being able to make accurate throws that he handcuffed our offense to death. That was besides the fact that we called the same 3 plays, in order, over and over again.
